It would be hard running 4 gauge wire to 8 gauge push terminals on the sub. True.. but where theres a will theres a way.. I kinda feel like 8ga would choke the current, but Im not a pro.. 8 gauge will choke what current (yeah im glad your not a pro), they are just subwoofers). 8 gauge wire will be fine and all you need.

Usually you take half the rating of amps your amp has, and if Im correct it has 4 x 40A = 160A / 2 = 80A or better.

A Kinetik HC1400 or 1800, anything battery with around 80AH.

So you already bought the products and know you want to ask the question, why would they be too much power for the subs. I hope you got the Dual 2 ohm version of the subwoofers. Please read new member rules before posting again. I hope your electrical can handle all that or you just wasted some money.
