kicker cvx 10's
30Hz will be the perfect medium, I have mine tuned to 26hz and Im loving them but I wouldnt recommend anybody tune that low unless you like it or listen to screwed music but I luv the lows thats why I went that route. Yeah the size of the sub wont matter, they all will play low just depends on the box. I would say go for it and have fun, plus all my friends are jealous of how low my subs get even my friend who has the two cvx 15"s; trust me they will get down and have a great time doing it.

head unit ohm loads
Crutchfield says this about the product (just want someone to agree if I should do it or dont because I dont want to mess up a headunit): SLI High-Output Design: This high output 2 ohm design extracts every watt from today's high powered receivers and amplifiers, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4 ohm speakers). Important Note: These Infinity speakers use a low impedance design to pull more power safely from your car stereo or amplifier. This design is compatible with all factory and aftermarket stereos.

kicker cvx 10's
yeah i have heard all three size cvx's, I have 3-12's and a friend who has 2-15's. overall im very impressed with these subs(first sub I ever bought, then upgraded to a rockford fosgate p3 12", then to 2-12" cvx's to 2-12" pioneer premiers and now im back at 3-12" cvx's so you see my passion for them), any size will be good for what you want to do. I personally say do it and as long as that box is 3 ft^3 after port and sub displacement then you should be cool. since he is your brother if you dont like it better than your system you have now then Im sure he will trade back, but once you get them in a ported box and a stronger amp you will enjoy the upgrade.

head unit ohm loads
All head units that I know say that each channel is rated at 4 ohms, almost every single infinity speaker that is made is rated at 2 ohms. Is it possible to put an infinity speaker such as Infinity Kappa 63.9i on each channel of a head unit? My friend wants to upgrade his car speakers and go with these so I wanted to know if its safe and what Infinity says is true? True Four Ohms— All Kappa speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance “seen” by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Kappa Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit. http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/products/product_detail.aspx?prod=KAPPA63.9I&cat=KAP&ser=KAP&Language=ENG&Country=US&Region=USA thanks for input.
