Subwoofer wire size?
- DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs
Do your thang this weekend Steve- What subs for my car?
I wouldn't put subs in my back seat area myself, sucks about the loss of output but that is the downfall to having a convertible.- Subwoofer wire size?
very pointless especially for daily, but it will do if you wanna be cool. As short as subwoofer runs are the bigger wire wont make a difference.- New amp gets hot, goes into protect
Gain setting too high, in turn causing the amp to produce more heat then power. In turn causing the amp to thermally protect, being under the seat with no air flow could play a role as well.- Welcome Exo Contralto to his new Section at SSA!
My guess would be just for traffic, hoping his followers would come join the forum.- Having bad thoughts.... lol
The only reason i would do the ID700.2 is to match the Sundown and IA, all three being all black. Or do the 2 Boston Acoustics like planned with the ID700.2. Then save the IA for anoher install. Yeah go ahead and install both Crescendo amps. Save the Sundown Saz-1500 till you get the 125.2 back, if you dont have plans for them then sell in a package deal. Just my .02- New car, should I get an aftermaket head unit ?
If you're already using the headunit for your sub then keep it that way. Yeah no need for 2 mini dsp's, just get one for your front stage so you can run active.- New car, should I get an aftermaket head unit ?
Yes you would need a second mini-dsp for subwoofer unless you want to use the IA20.1s crossover features.- New amp gets hot, goes into protect
Those subs wont benefit at all from 12 gauge wire, dont waste the time and money. Now on the other hand the Ethos will need bigger than the 14 gauge wire, 10 should suffice.- New amp gets hot, goes into protect
No the 14 guage wire wont cause problems.- Wonder about my alts

Let me have that dishwasher Steve :- First 4th order! (Bare with me)
Bro those staples though :- A pic of my FI BL 15 in it's new home.
Yeah box could benefit from more port area as stated above. Box looks good.- Pictures of your new equipment
Nice amps man- rear battery grounding?
Some amps have a soft turn on thump and some dont. If the same amps were in before doing upgrades and changes and its one of thise thats thumping, then check all your grounds. Might not have a good ground on your rear battery. Cool story bro- DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs
Bottom and top one gets my vote- Amp and box measures for 2 HDS2 12
Low volume will take longer for the soft parts to loosen up, like I stated earlier there is no such thing as breaking in a subwoofer.- BL 15 Magnet cover?
Glad to hear, guess i was wrong. Makes me feel even better about Fi- Amp and box measures for 2 HDS2 12
Really no such thing as breaking in a sub, yes the subwoofers soft parts loosen up over time. On some subs it takes longer then others. Play the sub within it's limits and enjoy my friend.- DSS Tridents and Twisted Sounds S-10. Road to 166dBs
Christmas came early- Whoops forget to check in.
