  1. Cool let me know how they work for ya.
  2. It seems like know you're buying equipment and just shoving it in places. I wouldnt put mids and tweeters there. Just make your front doors house one or two 8s each and one tweeter. Stop buying equipment just to buy it, thats the first way to loose money.
  3. Eminence Alpha-8A will be a better option then the PWXs, just a heads up. http://www.parts-express.com/eminence-alpha-8a-8-pa-driver--290-401
  4. I just redid my grounds under the hood. I left all stock wiring going to my battery alone. I added two grounds with 1/0 wire to my battery: one going to a bolt on the alternator/engine block, the other wire going to the frame where my radiator support bolt is located. Frame ground helped to smoothen out the car when I start it up. I only replaced one stock wire under my hood and thats because my car is a 1997 and the wire was brittle, it was on the opposite side of the engine from the battery. The wire was a ground going from my engine block to my strut bolt. At first i replaced it with two 4 gauge wires with ok results, today i replaced it with 1/0 wire.
  5. Yes but make sure to upgrade that wire to 1/0 or better and watch the voltage. Make sure to be gentle on the gain and dont go crazy. I hope the Big 3 wiring is done underhood in 1/0 as well. Get an AGM battery for under the hood as well, the biggest one you can fit. How big is the trucks stock alternator? The question would be would I do it, no I wouldnt. But there are probably a few people who have ran 2k on a stock electrical with good results.
  6. Thought about blacking out the GMC symbol in the grill?
  7. 1 or 2 is fine, you can either run all your grounds to your batt. Then from batt to frame. Or you can run all your grounds directly to the frame. Whichever is easier.
  8. Not trying to be rude, just make sure it is not asphalt and just do some research. At the end of the day deadner is only gonna do so much, vehicle reinforcement is much more effective.
  9. Those are sub par enclosures at best, some of the better pre-fab boxes though I must admit. I just recently used the box on the first linked you posted. 2 Ethos would require a better built enclosure in my opinion. With 2-12" IA Lethal Injections, it flexed like crazy. The double baffle is bad for the port because they didnt cut out enough wood to make the opening, you will need a router to knock out some wood. I seen where somebody used body filler to make an even transition from port to actually port opening in baffle. With the $150 you could easily buy the materials to make an enclosure. Im sure Q wouldnt mind helping you with a design and cut sheet. Take it to Lowes or Home Depot and ask a nice gentleman to make cuts for you. Buy Titebond 2 wood glue, screws and some clamps (Harbor Freight has them for cheap). If that is way beyond the work you want to put in the find a reputable shop to build a box for ya. Even try posting a cragslist ad to see if anybody would be willing to build an enclosure for ya.
  10. Wow. Just a pick an audio brand since your not taking any advice. There are plenty companies making deadner, flip a coin and choose.
  11. I get mine from sonicelectronix, either the Kicker or Rockford Fosgate. I been wanting to try monoprice for awhile.
  12. Love the look of those B2 amps, hell of a build man.
  13. Good shit man, love this bailout
  14. What size Silver Flutes did you choose? I loved my 6.5" SilverFlutes, cant wait to see all the pictures. That mini looks pretty cool.
  15. I actually could have won for the world record. If I had done 32hz like I originally planned, it would hold over a 156 for 2 minutes for sure. But, being a good sport, I dropped down to a frequency that I know isn't my territory. But I did it to put on a good show for the crowd. Yeah that makes sense.
  16. Any more info on the Encores yet, same size enclosures as Ethos?
  17. Yeah I love my ppi 900.4, nice job on the stealth install so far.
  18. Doors almost look stock
  19. Congrats man
  20. Y splitters for what, please explain more in detail about your problem and setup so people can actually help you. Go over all your wiring even if you think its right, pull out subs and check even if you think its right. Have you done any troubleshooting so far, if so what did you do and the result.
  21. Hey Nick, Any dirt sheets or new bass cds coming soon? A pinned recommended enclosures thread like the one already in this section, but updated for all new drivers. Keep up the great work and amazing products.
  22. It could but just becuase you wire down for more power, you would still have to factor in how much of that power is wasted and turned to heat. I would think the efficiency of 2 amps at 2 ohms could match 1 amp at 0.5 ohms or come close. Just my theory
  23. Im so jelly man, that little civic should be crazy when you're done.
