Metered my car with the Ethos.
With that equipment a 140 should be easy out the gate unless it is something terribly wrong with the install. Hate to be the one to agree, but I did a 140.5 with the equipment in my sig in a Neon. Something isn't right.Edit: Never updated my score in my sig, but it's on the MECA website in 2012, if you want to look it up. I guess since everything is subject to criticism then I'd say your score was low too. This was the guys first ever time on the mic. With the information given I am to assume he didn't really know his peak frequency since he claimed to be tuned @ 28hz and metered at 43hz. Hell my first time on the meter I got a 143.8 with a single 15" Obsidian on an AQ2200 at 2 ohm in a pre-fab. Check MECA website in 2013 if you want to look that up in AS2. Truth is as a competitor I'm glad the OP has come out and gotten his system metered because the sport has been in a slow decline over the past 20 years. Every competitor we can get is a new challenge to me. I'm sure he knows that he can do better and I believe he can as well. I just hope he sticks it out and keeps coming to the shows and gets louder each time. *** after edit *** OP - after reading this it had me go back to check my progress with last years numbers. They increased each show mostly lol Just keep up the work and you'll keep gaining. Show 1 - 143.8db Show 2 - 144.9db Show 3 - 145.0db Show 4 - 146.9db Show 5 - 146.8db (Not sure what happened here lol) Show 6 - 147.0db Show 7 - 146.1db (Tried metering on a different side at this show with no 2nd run) Show 8 - 147.7db You guys get so defensive on here. Nobody said the score was low and nobody criticized. I simply stated with that equipment a 140 out the trunk should be easy regardless your first time. Plain and simple, nothing more nothing less.Sorry for cluttering up your thread OP. Any pics or videos of your setup? There are a number of things to try to gain the next time your on the meter: closed air vents, open glove box, moving seats around, visors down, among other things. But sealing the trunk from the cabin should help out as well, have fun with the chasing dbs man. Any goals with numbers you want to reach.

They look good to me, especially like how you used the door panel grills as protection.

Just worry about your electrical being up to participate and building an efficient enclosure and you're set. Yes the stock Bls will be fine unless you plan on buying another amp and raising the power some in the future.

Love the voltage meter location.- (4) 18" DC Level 4's and (2) DC 3.5k's
I love updates with pictures- What's the best 3,000-3,500 watt mono block class d amp i can get?
- Not Ready to Give up on FI yet. what would you do?
You've managed to kill the driver three times already by pushing it past it's limits. You need another setup with the same output within it's working limits, sort of like saying this car is fast enough for me, and you're driving it at redline. I highly doubt lowering your enclosure volume to Fi's specs will all of a sudden save the driver, it'll probably have less output than before and you'll end up turning it up more to get the same output and you're right back where you started. Depending on your space you might be able to bump up to a ported enclosure, that'll net you a good amount more output so you won't have to be running the driver at max. A few other points that I'm not sure were mentioned completely, check your vehicle's voltage when playing music and make sure it's not low, if it is then it could screw with the signal from the amp to the driver--I think. I know you're using a sealed enclosure but you might try setting the ssf around 20hz (not sure what you listen to but if it's that dubstep / rap music boosted by people in their garages than that might help control the excursion somewhat). Someone mentioned lowering the LPF to 80hz, that's a good idea and I would even suggest going lower to 50-60hz (try different points and see what sounds best to you).- Swift's 2012 F250

Really digging the upgrades man, cant wait to get my P900.4 on Thursday.- Not Ready to Give up on FI yet. what would you do?
I wouldn't run CCA wire period, straight welding cable and OFC wire all day. Don't skimp on the electrical at all, it is the main focus point on an install. CCA wire gets hotter quicker than OFC wire and can corrode easier. Does everybody have problems with CCA wire, no but why risk it. Im pretty sure you could read anything on the internet where stuff contradicts what some know to be true. Some people hear things and believe it so they put it on the web, it's the internet so it has to be true.- Not Ready to Give up on FI yet. what would you do?
I like welding cable(Radflex) or knuconceptz for wiring- SLOW build on a 2001 GMC Jimmy
Cool, I wish I would of actually installed my first and only pair of Mach 5 MLI-65's I bought years ago. Cant wait to hear you thoughts on them.- autotek bts 7300
If you haven't got subs yet why wouldn't you just get the right ohm subs so you can run it at 2 ohm Because nowadays everybody wants to be cool with either custom subs or custom amps.- autotek bts 7300
Just because he doesnt do it or you havent heard of it doesn’t mean its not possible, maybe it is just not worth the hassle. Modifying amps was more popular some years back then it is now as most amps go to 1 ohm or lower straight from the factory.- Been a long time but I am back.....

Read up on another forum where Jacob said these are for the 12v crowd and don't like above 15.5v. He also stated he hasn't said much publicly about them yet except production started in March. I'm pretty sure once he gets back from his trip we will hear more about them.- Sundown E12v2 questions
I doubt you will hear the difference between the two enclosures. Since its personal preference install it in both boxes and see which you prefer.- Sundown E12v2 questions
The bigger of the two should be fine. - 2005 tahoe road to 150+ db
