  1. Not feeling the wheels at all
  2. You should be in good luck with tax season orders dying off.
  3. You could try the Sundown or Incriminator Audio components in the SSA Store. Pretty much these will be your testing speakers so no reason to go all out. Listen to them passive for a while to see if they fit the bill, then when you are comfortable you can try active. Just ditch the passive crossovers that come with the speakers and then wire each speaker to its own channel, tweets on channel 1/2 and mids on channel 3/4. Then listen, tweak, listen and tune away.
  4. Not bad at all, how does it sound after all the adjustments made to the enclosure?
  5. Well thats because your coming from SMD forum, im pretty sure all that info would be deleted off that forum if stated. Around here we dont do any deleting of threads or posts, so do some research and you will see all the threads on here concerning that issue.
  6. Subs are built in batches, just means your wasnt in the batch. Date doesnt really matter unless your in that batch being made. Dont make a big deal of it, your sub will ship soon.
  7. There is no best head unit for sub bass only, any h/u with a sub preout will do the job just fine.
  8. None, just look at rms and if it is in the range your searching and budget as well then buy it. Just make sure it is a reputable brand that will do rated power, pretty much any amplifier brand in the SSA Store will do rated power. All these bench test and clamp test are marketing gimmicks to get customers to purchase their product, its sad to say that it is actually working. Regardless you wont the claimed rms power or benched/clamped power anyway. Since amplifiers are not 99% efficient and music is dynamic as well.
  9. Sweet baby ray's? I love that BarBQue sauce
  10. Right now if I were to go tweeter route I would choose the SB Acoustics SB29RDCN-C000-4 or the knock offs NVX XSPTW, both have a low frequency response so matching up mids wont be a problem. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_68822_NVX-XSPTW.html http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/ring-radiator-tweeters/sb-acoustics-sb29rdcn-c000-4-neo-magnet-ring-dome-tweeter/ That would leave you with around $100 bucks for mids unless you can up the budget some. I doubt you will find a powerful 6.5" within your budget or one that still wont be overpowered by your Xcons. Just my .02
  11. Any new goals with the truck since you surpassed your last one?
  12. There is no point in that for a daily system, everybodies listening habits arent the same.
  13. If you would of taken the survey, your sub would have shipped. :
  14. Just save up and go with the zcon, no point in throwing 3.5k at an Xcon.
  15. Do you have a gray color you could try out?
  16. Its not that bad really but the white divider looks 10x better in my opinion.
  17. good job on reaching the goal
  18. Yes SSA has slowed down over the years since I been here as well but still a cool place to visit.
  19. Yeah that color combo is nice, the white tape/divider sets it off.
  20. Make sure to post pictures
  21. Sounds like bad battery to me and the one in the rear might be going to hence the slow charge. Just my guess. Do you have a battery charger or a way to get your batteries tested like at Autozone?
