  1. Not saying you wont get good midbass from those drivers even if you deaden, they aren't meant for that. These drivers have a higher sensitivity and are made to mate up with horns. The CTX mids is Image Dynamics heavy duty midbass driver, just my understanding from my days on the ID forum when it was still up and running.
  2. Probably because they are running off of head unit power One good set on an amplifier will be good enough. Make sure you deaden those doors, great performance will come from a great install.
  3. im sorry but why they fuck are you on here bitching and whineing.. you read the wait time when you ordered the subs.. and if you didnt you should pay more attention to your money.. also its tax time. so obviously people are gonna order more shit.. because all middle class people such as myself wait for tax time to have some spending money... not to mention the fact that your ordered sundown audio shit from a ssa website... "slap in the face" ... why not order some real shit like some zcons or some evils.. honestly I hope you never get your shit.. fuckin chinese retarded bullshit.. might as well run kicker... lmao... get loud
  4. Seems like by ears and round of applause.
  5. Might of been made before they started that process or after they stopped sandwiching them. More info besides why is my xcon leads not sandwhiched, like what year you bought it or something along those lines to give you a better answer as to why there not sandwiched.
  6. Who would of known that a 10k amp would be power hungry If im not mistaken those amp are rated at 16volts, so it my do less power at 12volts. If any amp does the rated power you want at the price your willing to spend then yes it is a good deal.
  7. A certain amp is not required to break in a subwoofer, playing it normally over time will help it loosen up the suspension. As far as thinking you need rated power to get your subs moving, that's incorrect as there is no such thing in underpowering a subwoofer. Just save up and get the amp you want now, it will save you more in the long run. Instead of rushing to have a completed system, slow down and do it right the first time. If that is all you want to spend on an amp period the go quality over quantity. Try to find a good brand amp at your budget level instead of more power lesser quality, you may have to buy used.
  8. Nice stash you have there, not going big on the front stage this time?
  9. I always liked their amps, something about them (simple yet clean). Haha we have the same last name.
  10. Meh...
  11. Try downloading the Torres calculator, I use this program with great results. It will help you out more because this way you can play around with the dimensions to get an enclosure to your liking then just giving somebody set dimensions and one outcome.
  12. That calculator sucks and OP no need for two different threads about the same topic.
  13. How are you liking those Neo-Pros?
  14. Already, im gonna hold you to that Q.
  15. If it wasnt for the move, im sure this would of been done a few months ago.
  16. User error or install error, plain and simple.
  17. Trouble keeping up or whatever that means, is either user error or install error.
  18. Ive used both weldingsupply.com and wireandsupply.com. I had great success with weldingsupply.com and no issues whatsoever. I had ok success with wireandsupply.com, just had issues with the transaction (just from personal experience wont deal with them again). Im gonna try that site Julian linked earlier the next time I buy welding cable, the wire looks to have nice quality at a great price.
  19. Not bad at all, wish you would still build and ship.
  20. I concur with Sencheezy
  21. Makes sense especially if he is not competing then its not worth it, good move.
  22. thats cool.. it does look cool and I like the concept.. just hate apple lol.. Ok we get it you hate Apple, good thing this isn't your truck. love the idea man
  23. Obviously both of you guys are missing my point, I know these drivers are designed for smaller boxes as I understand that. Ill break it down for yall. If you are already cutting down the box size to fit in your trunk, then why go for it. Cramming a box being damn near too big to fit in the trunk along with batteries, amps etc. Not cramming as subs in too small enclosure. But if OP has taken the extras into consideration then my bad, like I said I just don't see the hype in doing so.
  24. I see what your saying I just don't understand the hype in trying to cram 2-15"s in a trunk car in a box that is already past the small side, but hey to each it's own.
