the 30 watts rating is about like the sundown 1500d rating from what ive read. Ill link to a couple of reviews for ya so you can see what i mean. also diy crossovers arent really that bad, ive learned alot building mine, i had no idea what i was doing to begin with , and im actually starting mine over tonight, but I would gladly help you on your way. I think your in the same position I was a few weeks ago, thats why I've been so willing to help, because lets be honest nobody likes being a noob here is the link to the AVR-130 Review, The 146 is slightly better and has a few nicer features, its also more widely availible http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/receive.../avr-130-review the main reason that review gave the 130 a bad review is the lack of a visual interface, a problem which the 146 fixed. http://reviews.cnet.com/av-receivers/harma...7-30632952.html

- motor questioni dont think your gonna be able to fix that. And its rather expensive to get it fixed, probably not worth it for a 50 dollar motor
- SAE - 1000D Strapped? You can only strap amps that are the same model also the 100.4 isnt strappable, I dont know of a single 4 channel amp that is strappable But you can use 2 SAE 1000d's strapped to your sub and then the 100.4 for your Mids/Highs
- Frankenwoofer - TCON styleThis is why you dont use Gorilla Glue for a recone, your probably gonna have to re-recone it after a while

- Brahma Troubles againany dustcap that is similar size will work, dd, re, fi, si, SSA, to name a few you could try gluing the spider back as it sits, the surround may have it centered enough for it not to rub.
- Uh-Oh!to shim the gap get some Manilla folders and cut them to fit inside the vc former use as many of those as u can while still being able to put the vc in and out like that also playing below tuning causes unloading. Thats probably why it did that.
