I saw no proof of 150, just a little movie with a screen shot of 150 : it could have been anybody's car ! OP : give us a clean vid, and that's it. I'm not in the race for high db numbers, but I know 150 is not so easy to reach. So you can understand (experienced) people don't take it for granted !!! 8pages, and still no good vid!

I don't know their price, I've never have a listen to them DC's, but take a look at the store here at SSA. Maybe you can find great deals. The choice is huge in the store. Good luck

Get the 12" Xcon, build an optimal box, or just a normal box !!! And you will be good to go!!! You can have your 15" xcon in an optimal SEALED box and be very happy,............like me !!! If you want 2 subs, you can have 2 xcon in 12" in a sealed box in your trunk. They get very loud like that too. Take a look at my avatar (or at my gallery) my xcon 15 is in a 2.9 cu ft sealed box, and I like it more than when it was in a 3.5 cu ft ported box ! But, now, it is firing back and not up : big difference !

You can't find a ho alt for a Civic ? I can't believe that. If you have A/C, maybe you can take it off and have more room for a second alt? I'm not a specialist at all. just my 2 cts. BTW, 1500-2000 watts should be enough for a btl, build a big box for the sub, and ...enjoy !

If you like your bl, but wants to be louder, get another bl, or a btl ! Personally, I love my SSA Xcon, but that's me. What will you like ? Dunno!

Give us a budget. With 1500 watts and 5 cu ft to work with, try a 15" Fi Btl or Bl, or a Sundown Z15. Some Incriminator Audio subs can be a good choices too. If you want 2 12" sub, it will be more expensive than a single 15". Think about it.

You're talking about "bass boost" knob, or about the gain knob. The remote you receive with this amp is a gain knob, not for bass boost. Don't touch the real bass boost knob on the amp, set it to 0.

Try a ported box for a 10" or 12" sub. But be sure to have a box small enough to be able to turn it in your trunk. My sub is louder and lower in a big sealed box, firing back than the same sub in a well built ported box with the sub and port firing up in the trunk (hatchback car too) in the same car, with the same power. You see, it's not easy. I think a 10" Fi Q in a ported box can please you more. There are some serious box builder on these forums, look for them !

Tell him to save some cash, and to sell his amp if he can have a good price for it. $200 for 2 12's ? You won't find louder than what he already had. Maybe used subs : one used Fi BL, or Sundown Z15 v1. Try one 15" sub, it will be cheaper, and can be louder than 2 cvr's. Good luck.
