  1. Sorry, I don't even remember how to post my picture (from my gallery at ssa). will work on it !!!
  2. Here is mine sorry for the quality, but with this cellphone you can't see the color of the carpet (blue) !
  3. A 12" Fi Q on a powerful amp should be quite impressive for a first install. Maybe something is going wrong? What do you have for front speakers? Any amp on them? 2 Xcon would be a lot of bass (without good front speakers!!), Even one would give you a killer system Another option would be a second sub like yours and a well design ported box.
  4. looks good ! 4 cu ft at 31Hz : wow The Icon will love it for sure, but you too will love it a lot. with a kerfed port : it's always impressive (when you don't know how to do it!!!) The port area seems to be huge when I look at my box!!!
  5. I will follow dis one! Seems like a good start for a big install!!!!!!
  6. I've never heard the NS, but I know they perform well in spl competitions. Musical sub + impressive spl + 1500 watts available = Xcon !!! Xcons are so loud, when we make demos of just a 15" xcon, the first thing people say is "get out, how can you stay in the car with so much bass?!!" These people never say that when listening to the spl installs playing around!!!!!
  7. I thought you were going to show some exotic places with sundown systems in cars!!! i would have show you pics of Martinique (French Caribbeans)!! Down here we only have 2 cars(as I know) with Sundown amps and ssa subs!!!
  8. if you have money to spend, take better component speakers ! and forget about the rear fill. The music will sound much better and the bass will be more accurate.(just my 2cts). That way, you only need one amp for the comps. The one you have will have to be stable at 2 ohms with the pair of comps, or you can use a 4 ch amp for all.
  9. It will be loud as... I'm waiting for the future pics. Good luck with that work!!!
  10. If you're on a budget(like me!!!) The Sundown 50.4 is a great deal. It was $200 shipped to all 48. I run it bridged to my comp set (focal 165KP) ; I think the speakers really came alive with this amp. So much power to play with : 2 x 160 clean watts at 4 Ohms. I like it a lot. The 125.2 is maybe a better choice? I don't know. I needed my 2 rca's'to run my speakers on the 50.4 You just need one set of rca on the 125.2. It's up to you.
  11. The port has the same dimensions, but with the kerf it goes larger at the opening. Net volume was 3.5 and now is 3.7 cu ft. The owner loves it even more after a few days. Oh, one thing : he is quite sure the processor he had was reducing the low notes : he took it off before changing box. You can see my new box( his old one!!!) In my gallery, and as my avatar! The kerf port box ? Pics are coming soon!!!
  12. Great great designs ! They know what they're doing. Good service too.
  13. Take care of yours. Time for new employee(s)?!!
  14. I love the Xcon, very accurate sub that can be loud as...!in 18", wow!!! But the others are spl sub, from what I know. I've never heared them, though. You should tell what you're lookihg for : spl, competitions, sq,...? Ranking subs may not have sense.
  15. go for the ssa/sundown combo : you will love it! I don't think the btl is the best choice for low low notes : it's a spl monster, that can play music, but the xcon is a very musical sub, that is really loud!!!
  16. 2 12" xcons will handle 3k watts daily with ease. I will love to do that in my car!!! It would be insane!!!!!!
  17. The clio is such a small car for al that bass. We have lots of clio down here, some with tons of bass, but the sound is always better when you're outside the car. You hear it outside, you feel it inside!!! more (or too much) air pressure inside.
  18. 14.4 all vehicles? I don't think so!! Not my Toyota. lol in theory 14.4v. But I admit that my electrical system is not the best at all!!!
  19. Actually add one more 1/0 awg wire to that batteries ground terminal to cars frame and it will help out even more (trust me I did it and it keeps my voltage steady and I have a higher voltage when car is cut on and or while off). ooh cool, that's easy to do!! next week
  20. Thank you Jay-Cee, they were trying to fool me!!!!!!!! Lol My amps get hot, but you can't cook on them, you can still touch them without getting burnt!!! The saz gets hotter than the 50.4, and I am cool with that. I will work on the electrical part, when I'm on holidays, sooooon !!!!!!!
  21. I will do the Big3 as soon as I can. The alternator is not easily reachable, I have to take some parts off before, and I'm not good at mechanics, or at electricity!!! I think the amps grounds are not so bad, but it's worth checking them again. I already have the 0 ga ground on the battery. It helped a lot for the electrical, I could see it on my voltmeter. I will tell you the improvements.
  22. I live in Louisiana, I know all about hot weather. And my amps never get to hot to touch. Yeah, I'm in Mississippi, my amps will go on playing for several hours in direct sunlight and not get hot. Wow, difficult to believe. But I will check that. How can you play for hours , in the sun, and your amp never gets hot? There's a trick?
  23. Yersterday he was asking me for fans !!! We will think about it soon. Thanks BTW : I have no voltage drop, always above 13.4 v with a/c on, and I have not done the Big3 yet! But I know I will upgrade the electrical system someday, with new batt(s).
  24. A friend of mine has 2 saz 1000 strapped at 2 ohms on a 15DVC1 Xcon, and it went into protection recently. But he was testing/beating them so hard, and for a long time. But no problem after some cooling , I think so.
