The sae 1200 is at a very good price, But it's a pre-sale : look at the release date. It's in a few months. You'd better not be in a hurry ! I don't know about the Z15. I can only talk about the ssa combos : really good deals, you will not be disappointed. You live in LO, so shipping will be very low for everything:) Take advantage of the deal with the free custom box, before it ends!!!

Totally agree ! I've heared some S15L7 (2006's and 2008's) in diffferent enclosures : 2ft3, 4ft3, 6ft3 all sealed : the bigger, the better!! I tried a ported enclosure, but it was too small to sound good. One thing : it was always loud, heavy bass, for rap and r&b. But musically it can't compare to an Icon 15 : it's like day and night!

I think it is difficult to compare the 2. The Xcon I heared was in a very well designed box, and my Icon : no, just a simple box with a pvc tube! Both were receiving 1000-1200 watts rms. But it was like the little brother, and the big brother : both sound good, but I think the Xcon is for real bassheads (like me), it's loud, loud, LOUD!!! The Icon is a wonderful woofer, I have never heared such a sub!! Until I heared the Xcon, I wouldn't want to change sub:).

You are right Sir L That would be a Great setup! In term of hu I am all Pioneer, but this Kenwood is really cheap!

You're new to car audio and you want a BTL !!! Why don't you start with something more simple? You'd bettter take your time! Read all you can on these ssa forums, get the more informations you can. After that, you will be able to ask the good questions! 500 for a head unit : that's a lot for a USA buyer(in the USA/Canada the hu are so cheap). look around and come back posting later!!!!!!

When will I get my 50.4 to match with my saz 1000 ? I ordered last week, and I am waiting for, at least, a UPS tracking number!

I don't think you will need extra processing on the low notes with your setup! 4 Icons, or 4 Xcon 18's will give you more than enough, at low lovels, at high levels even more!!!!!!!!!!! Don't you all think so?!

I am waiting for a 50.4 to power my comp set. I hope I will not have those heating problems.

I've listen to only one 15" Xcon in a FisherCustom design ported box (3.5 ft" @ 32 Hz), it was powering by a 1200watts rms amp. OMG !!! It's unbelievable, insane!!!!!!!!!!! That is really a Groundpounder!!! It is way louder than my 15" Icon with 1000 watts rms (Sundown saz1000D) on it. I am not selling any Xcon but you will not be disapointed with a beast like that. Take the dual 2 ohms to wire it at 1 ohm if you want all the power from your amp. FYI : my next purchase is the 12" Xcon, and it will be powered by my 1000 watts amp!!!

Save some more money and go buy only one Xcon 12. Make a good ported box and you good to go !!! You already have a very good amp for it5$100 dam...!!!) If you want it now you can buy an Icon; you will be Very happy with it!

The Xcon sounds so well now. His owner is very very happy with it!!! The sub and the box are too heavy for his little car but he doesn't care! I thought it was loud , but after some weeks, it is VERY loud!!!! We love it. it's'the first time he listen to such a loud sub with so much acuracy. And he is a pro in live performance systems: he owns an all JBL monster sound system(one of the best in our island!!). Finally he took off all his rear speakers, he rebuilds his doors (adding some damplifier pro I gave him), and now he really enjoy his system !!! I have to post pics, I know!!! Nest week

Obviously 2 x 3500 > 4 x 1500 !!! The 2 3500's must be more powerful. Just my 2 cts. BTW : 400 is really a great great price for such a monster amp! SSA and Sundown : you're the Best !!!!!!!

Finally I decided to take the Sundown sax 50.4 : I will bridge it to 2 channels (2 x 160 watts rms, that's headroom!!!). I am waiting for the UPS tracking number. I should get the amp by the end of next week.

I think you will have so much "lows" with your setup that you shall be amazed !!! Whatever tuning frequencies you choose!! You're speaking of 4 Xcons 18's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to hear a setup like that.

I thought cancellations may come only when using different size speakers playing the same frequencies. But with the same size speakers , it should be good, like when you have 2 subs (you do not have those problems). But remember, I am just learning here. This forum has a lot of big car audio gurus and specialists who can help you more than me !!!

It may not be "much louder", but you should test with everything installed.(just my 2cents). It's got to be louder with more cone area, but with the same amp (even at 2 ohms) you will have less power to each speakers. Give them what they need ! Time for another sax amp?!!!

3way frontstage : that can be a good choice. You need output from your speakers to hear something else than your 18's !!! They told you you would have cancellation with 2 same sets of comps? I am not an expert, so I can't judge.It's a pitty because you already have yours 2 sets of comps. Maybe you can try them anyway? They look sooooo strong!!!

I am not a Focal dealer, but I must say that I love my 165KP very much! Sometimes I feel like the singers and even the group are in the car with me!!! I am very very satisfied with them. I have change lots of things in my system, but I don't want, don't need to change my comps. But I've never heard the xxx comps, so I can't compare. You seem to know what you're doing! 4 xcons 18 : that will be loud! I've heared only one 15 xcon in a ported box (3.5 ft3 @32 Hz), and it is incredibly loud, and sounds sooooo good!!!!!!! I'm sure you'll love your 18's.

What did you do with your Rocford amps? They were very good ones. You are changing everything in the car! What comps will you be running? It will be a "wicked" set up !!! Looks really good good luck with the instal. There's a lot of work to be done.
