He was very helpfull when I bought an saz3000 from him a few years ago. I was very satisfied with the service and the product. the amp still works fine on 2 Fi bl 12s ! But I think he does not ship to my country now. Some of my friend tried to buy some amps from him lately. On another forum I've read horrible things about him because of a thing called dd-1 !!!

Why do so much people dislike Kicker ? I always thought it is a reputable brand. I had some S15L7 in the past, in different enclosures, and they were loud and played low. Most of the times in sealed boxes. They were so cheap form Indoaudio on ebay !!! The shipping with Fedex was cheap too ! I made some good money with all of the S15 I've bought. I tried SSA subs and was happier with their subs but I still respect Kicker products a lot.

If the discount is big, and you're not in a hurry, why not ? But I rather spend my money on something available, or something that can be delivered fast enough. .

When I bought my BTL N2 I was afraid of the "sound quality", after using Xcons, and Icons. But all I can say is that they sound really good and can play all the notes quite well. Finally I was not disappointed , in no way. I love the light weight and the sound of that sub. It's not an Xcon, I find it less flat, but it's still musical, not like a Soundstream XXX (we can buy them locally) or other purely spl subs. In the 350Z, it can be a good choice with that amp : just turn the gain down a bit, the sub don't need that much power.

SSA offers cool carbon-look dustcaps. I think I saw that somewhere on the store.

Nice move. Always try new enclosures to improve bass. And now you can do something else : work on electrical, deadening,...etc

I'd rather get the biggest sub. 600 watts would be plenty for a Q. 400 watts more won't change anything for your ears. But it may sound louder than the X. The Gcon is my favourite ! Hard decision

In the USA : a full JL system with W7s and hd or slash amps. Good resell value ! In my island : Audiopipe !!!!!!! It's what I can find easily, and resell even more easily : but that would make a lot of equipments !!! To use in my car : maybe Sundown ...or JL !

OP, you're in good hands with M5. but you need to answer all those questions. It could be easier to run 1 or 2 subs and a simple set of comps in the doors. You may need only one 4 channel amplifier, if you don't want too much power.

It's a pitty we don't see those kind of topics (on front stage) more often. I love bass, but without a god front stage it doesn't make sense. And I hate to hear all those local setups with "pro" audio drivers that scream so much. So, a widebander can be enough in the upper frequencies ? No need for tweeters with them ? I'd like to listen to a setup like that. Maybe I could try taht one day. But I'm still in love with my Focal set !!!
