  1. Very nice. That mini van will be loud !! You seem to have good deals on shipping You're lucky
  2. OP, why did you order gaskets from fixmyspeakers ? Aren't those subs new ? What benefits are you waiting for ? Just curious
  3. OP, you'd better order some subs and an amp from them. Don't wait for future products. For the cost of 2 wardens you may get some very good IA subs and 2 amps, even some comp sets ! Go for it, don't wait !
  4. I'd get the RF. more reputable company,...etc As Impious said...warranty in the future, parts for repair, and so on.
  5. In my country, amplifiers are so expensive, most people think Hifonics makes high quality amplifiers, and they love Audiopipe (amps, mids & highs, subs,...) !!!!!!! When I tell them it's not highend, they become angry...But they don't want to pay the price !
  6. 2200 watts should be enough for your sub to be loud. Did you try to change the box placement ? Try to fire the sub through the cabin, maybe. 4000 w ? That's a lot for a single sub on music. For an spl burp it should be ok, but I would not do it for everyday. I had a btl on 1500, and then tried a 3000 w amp. I could not really notice the change. When I tried another box I had much much better results. first box : sub up , port through the side, @ 32 Hz 2nd box : sub up, port up, @ 34 Hz : way louder. It is in a hatchback car (Toyota Auris 4 doors). I sold the 3000 w amp, and now I run 1500 on the sub and love it ! Good luck !
  7. Only one sub. Excuse my poor English ! It's not easy for me We won't put 2 15" subs in such a small box !
  8. Those are internals dimensions. I'd rather use it in a ported box, even with those "small" ports !
  9. Really ? I used the same port config on a SSA Xcon 15" and it was not bad at all. I know it is not the same sub, but I'm not confident with using it sealed.
  10. I just told him. He said he tried with the ports at 16" !!! on a saz 1000 at 2 Ohms : he likes it like that, but he only had 2 old 8" subs in a weird box on little power, for some times. So the change is huge. He will work on it today. He needs 2 elbows for the ports and to change the way they're firing. thanks again. I love this forum !!!
  11. 10.375" , 11" or between 13.45" and 12.44" ? So much numbers ! It's temporary, it should be fine with 2 4" ports. I'll tell him to try 13" first, and the cut if he does not like it that way. (It's a little more than 5 cu ft with internal dim and no bracing and no sub dispalcement). Thanks a lot guys.
  12. Hi guys, A good friend of mine want to use his Fi btl n2 15" in a new ported box. He was using mine until I sold the box. This will be a temporary setup, as he is in the process of ordering a second btl, and the box for the 2 is ready (he had 2 Xcons 15" in, before). So, the box he wants to use has those dimensions: 83 cm x 37 cm x 50 cm 32.7" x 14.6" x 19.7" Those are internal dimensions. He has 2 4" flared ports that he wants to use. What length should he make them to achieve a 32 Hz tuning ? Thanks very much for your help. I use to "work" with RAM Design for L port boxes, but I want to try the forum members for these round ports.
  13. Crescendo 2000 @1 Ohm on a SSA Xcon dvc2 : great combo IMO
  14. In the past, I wanted to use a 13W7. But for the price, I have been really happy with the Icon, and then the Xcon. Try the Xcon, OP. I think it's a beast of a sub : it plays everything , it is very accurate on music, like the Icon, but with more output. It is rated for 1750 w rms, but with 1200 it will still shine ! I had one on 1000 w rms. All the subs you mentioned are good ones. Now, I don't know if you have the room for a good box. But sealed or ported the Icon or the Xcon are great products. I tried mine in sealed boxes, ported ones, different sizes, different enclosures : always satisfied !!! (I had a Kicker L7 before, and I liked it only in a huge sealed box).
  15. There is a Buils logs Section. Take a look, it's easy !
  16. You can have 2 12"s GCONs on a 1500 w amp and be veeeerrrryyyyy happy. Don't need to get a Zcon to save money !
  17. No need to fix case again. He did it as Mechman would. It was a case failure that was covered by the warranty. Mechman had a problem with some alt at this time, as they told us. But for any mods, I know there would be a bill to pay. Slavery is finished, every work need to be paid, Nothing is free in this world !!!
  18. Good choice : the Icon plays music very well:) I had one, and I loved it.
  19. I saw my friend this week end, and he told me he tried to disconnect a wire on the alt plug, and now it "seems" to work. But he doesn't feel safe at all ! Another friend of us bought a Mechman alt, when he saw they could deliver here (!!!), he is happy with it for now. I think Mechman sold at least 2 alts for some locals since I bought this one for the VW golf!!!
  20. Why 0.5 Ohm ? For more power ? Your box is big enough to use less power. I don't know, just a guess !
