No connection to anything. I just play cd and fm radio. When the face plate doesn't want to work, I need to reset the h u : it is easier than playing with the under hood fuse. I can have this problem when I try to turn on the h u, or sometimes the face plate won't work even with the music playing(can't turn the volume down or anything). It looks like a face plate problem, but moving and playing with it never restart anything. I hope this can be fixed for cheap ! I'm not ready to buy another h u

Your hcca would love a lower tuned box. 38 is high to hit the lows ! Try 30-32 Hz for your next box, and don't do it sealed : it will not fit your goals. I'd choose the Fi ssd. Just my 2 cts.

Moving the faceplate around never works. No result. Only ways to make the h u works are by playing with the fuse or reseting the h u. It does it randomly. If it can be repaired I will do it and will sell this Pioneer.

Since a week or two, my Pioneer head unit has some problems. Sometimes the "face" doesn't respond, as if there is no power to it. It can happen with the music playing or with the h u off. If I unplug and the plug in the car fuse for the h u, eveything starts working again. If I press the reset button on the h u it starts working again, but I loose some settings. Do you know (or understand) what is happening ? Can it be a simple fix, or will I need to buy another h u ? Please help !!!

I can't post link , I'm on my phone. But take a look at darvex.com for example. They have a Stimger "kind of T"part, with one 1/0 in and two 1/0 out. Get 2 of them for power and ground.

The Hdc may sound good in the right box, with the right tuning. AQ recommends a 36 Hz tuning, IIRC. On rap your friend will love it. But I'd rather get another sub. Tell us his budget and the space available in his trunk.

Check the room available in the trunk. Maybe you can fit those 15's in a ported box with aeroports. you never know ! That would allow you to keep your subs. If you want to change them, get 2 12's. Zcon, xcon, btl, death row, whatever you like ...

If you take off some volume inside the box, and keep the same port, it should lower your tuning. If I understood it correctly. Try to put some wood, or anything, to take some room off the box and test, test, test it !

Front stage : speakers you have in front of the car. You don't need speakers in the back doors or on the rear hatch, only in front of the car.

I've read good things about the JBL gti 608, but never had a listen. They are not too expensive on ebay. Personnally, I love my set of focal 165 KP. They were expensive, but I have them for 6 years now, and I still love them.
