Not a lot of SAZ 2500 left. You will have to find them. (Woofersetc had 2 left). But I've read that one of the Fi owners said that the ssf on the Rockford amp is not good enough (slope at 12db/octave, not enough, need 24 db attenuation). I don't know if I used the right words !!! You can have the Rockford and just ad a ssf before the amplifier. Both are good amplifiers. I was in the market recently for the same reason, and I ended getting a refurbished saz 3000 at db-r.com. don't forget the Stetsom amps on the ssa store : the 2k5 seems very good too ! Good luck !

Mine is in a 2.1 ft3 box tuned at 32 Hz, with a slot port firing through the side of the cargo area. I love it, even on "only" 1500w.

Hello , I need a new box design for a friend. It is for a Soundstream XXX sub in 18". Power : a Soundstream XXX 15000 amp !!! It is too much, but it's what my friend have bought !!! He'll have to turn the gain down for daily listening. He wants to compete in spl but needs to be able to listen to music. Can he have a way to change tuning / port easily ? The box will be like a wall, panels will be added to the sides of the box to make it look & act like a real wall ! Here are the max dimensions : 38.58" (Height) x 35.43" (Width) x 31.49" (Depth). If it is too big, we can have it smaller, just tell us. He wants 45's in all corners, and some kind of slot port. No tube ports for this one, unless it is the only way to do interchangeable ports. The car is a 2 doors utilitary vehicle with a lot of space in the back. He will use the space left for amps, batts, big tv screen, Playstation,...etc He wants to have the port up on the box, firing through the front windshield. This box will be built by the same builder I have for years ! And this guy with the XXX makes a lot of show offs , he is well known in the local tuning scene : so this build is VERY important for my builder. Like a permanent add for him ! Of course : double baffle + flush mount + much dowel bracings...everything The box will be covered in vynil. Can we have a design with all the cut sheets and a drawing like you have in the example topic (the last designs with like a Goggle sketch up of the box) ? If you need more info, just ask ! Another option : get (2) 15" BTLs and a second amp like yours ! you would love that setup ! Be sure to build a serious box for the subs, with enough bracings. It need to be strong with several woofers. :morepower1:

I live in a foreign country in the Caribbeans, and I always feel so confident about the ssa store. I can choose how fast I want my equipment to be shipped, and they answer to all my emails ! Fast answers, very very fast !!! The last time I ordered a Sundown amp from ssa, I received it in 5 days !!! Before I thought about asking for a tracking number, Fedex told me I had a package waiting for me !!! Sundown is growing more and more !!! And you ordered on the week end !!!! How can your sub be shipped on a sunday ?! Even if the SA woofers are not made on orders, you're not the only one to order. Be cool, man !!! It's coming !

I would say : divide by 10. 1500 watts rms .....................150 A for example ! Am I wrong ?

From what I understand so far, you should listen to the sub to know how it reacts. If it sounds good, ok !! If it starts making strange noises, turn the gain down !!! It's how I do it without any DMM or oscilloscope. Maybe it's not the best way, but it works for me !!! I'll see how an saz 3000 works on mine soon !!!

I'd like to use one some day. But I don't think I will hear a difference in output. I've always have my gain set by ears. Maybe I will be more confident in not sending any clipped signal. But if I listen to clipped songs, there's nothing an o'scope will do for me !!!!

Aq 1200 at 1 Ohm, but he needs the same power at 2 Ohms. So forget that Audioque 1200. Maybe the Audiopipe 3000, with the gain way down !

Kicker amps are too expensive for his budget. Maybe a used one ? Take a look at the Clarion amps : there is one that can fit, with 1500 watts at 2 Ohms.

On a budget, yes, very short budget and no time to save some more money to get something better !
