You want an HO alt just to run a 1500 watts amp ? That's a lot ! Your current alt must be really weak. Have you tried to run your amp on your stock electrical ? Do the big3, get an AGM battery and a voltmeter. You will know if you need any HO alt or not. But, it's your money. If I could, I'd run an HO alt too, but not for 1500 watts. I'd shoot for +3000 watts !!!!!!!!!! With or without my system on, I stay at 13.6 v whith engine on. I have stock alt and a stock battery, but 0 ga wire everywhere (power, groundssss,...) Good luck

It depends on your car. I am running a Sundown saz 1500 and an sax 50.4 bridged(2 x 160 w rms) on my stock alt and stock battery. I've just added a 0 ga wire on the batt for the ground, and a 00 ga wire to ground the engine block. No voltage drops, it stays at 13.6 v while driving with no pb. Without turning the radio on the voltage goes a little less faster to 13.6 v, but does not stay higher. Get a voltmeter for your dash to watch your voltage. Get the Havoc. You'll love it !!!

Try the single set in the stock location, but do it right and work on the doors(seal holes, sound deadening,...). You will add the second set, if you need it later.

I should have asked for the black cap too. With the tinted windows the white stickers is too visible. I just ordered the blue one. it was the darkest I saw !!!

Go with the bl ! Maybe just one will be enough, get the 4" coil and a 1500 w amp. (Sundown, or cheaper : Clarion, Audioque, ...). You can run only one set of comps in the front. No need for a second set. This will allow you to buy a smaller amp, a small 4 channels ( that you will run bridged in 2 ch) or a 2 channels one. Take a look at the Bravox speakers on the ssa store. Are you sure you need an HO alt ? I have quite the same setup on a stock alt and a stock 75a batt with no problem. And I check my voltmeter continually ! I don't know nothing about my alt , and my engine is a diesel.

You're so lucky to have these prices on batts. Here, xs, kinetic and optima are sooooo expensive ! I need to save a lot to change my under hood batt.

Thé JL IS a good driver, for sure. But, I'm on ssa so I vote XCON ! I loved my Icon and my Xcon.

I don't have my front speakers on a amp? And I've been upwards of 148dbs, and could hear the music fine. They need to reply but anything else can be said. Really ?! I'm glad for you, but that won't be the case for everybody. IMO I'm not an expert, It's just from my (limited) personal experience.

Xmas has gone now !!! BTL's are shipped everywhere now. Nick @ Fi, when will I be able to order and pay for my BTL ? I know I'll have to wait for one month to get it here, but I still want it. I still have the money, but things go fast !!! Xmas was horrible :puzzled:this year, some news will make me smile a little !!!

You're starting big with a BTL for you first setup !!! Maybe too big. Don't forget you'll need an amplifier for your upgraded front speakers. Because with so much bass they will be hard to be heared. You may need big electrical upgrades too. Take a look at the BL before you get anything.
