36 hz may be a little high for music. Why don't you try 32-33 Hz ?

I don't know if type s speakers can be really loud ! But an amp may make them sound cleaner at high volume. There were a great deal on a boss audio (ZED made) amp lately here. Cheap and powerful : you can use it bridged to your speakers. Upgrade your speakers bro !!!

800*2=1600 !!! And you want 2500 watts ? Get an saz 1500 and you're good to go !!! If you really want to be loud, you have the space to run a single btl 18" !!! Whatever the amp. 1500 watts will make you LOUD as hell !!! But the btl will love the 2500 saz!

Tell Argent to build abox with aeroports. It will be smaller than a box with a slot port. the trunk of my car is small, it was tight to fit a 3.5 ft3 slot ported box, but with 2 4" aeroports, I easily fit a 3.1 ft3 box in it, with a 15" Xcon. And I love it. It is much much more powerful and louder than the same xcon in a 3 ft sealed box.

btl or mayhem ? We thought the mayhem is better for music. He will compete from time to time, but he will mostly listen to music, loudly ! price is quite the same, isn't it ?

Before you buy anything, try to learn a little more about your hobby ! With a btl you're going into some big troubles without any more knowledge. You're starting really big !!!

Hi guys, I need 2 12" subs for a friend of mine. He has an MTX TE 4000 to run them. He doesn't really know what to get. He drive a small car (renault Clio) with a hatchback. He will be able to fit a 3 to 3.5 ft3 ported box in his trunk. He's still undecided ! AA Mayhems are his first choice, but I asked Some info about the DC Level 4 xl, and he saw the Orion HCCA. He seems to like the Orion. But we never listened to any of those subs. What do you think about those 3. I think the Orion is not the best choice, but when he reads the specs, he likes them : low Fs, high sd, big motor !!! What can I tell him to choose? All those 3 are in the same budget , with shipping.

Try these settings : LPF at 80-100 Hz SSF at 30 Hz Bass boost at 0 (bass frequency, bass eq) $300 for a small ported box ? that's expensive. I can't say if your box is good or not : do the maths. I don't want to do it, but you need the internal volume of the box, and you take off the volume of the driver and the volume of the port.

2000 is a lot of power for 4 dcons ? But enough for 2 Icon's!! I did not look at the costs. There must be differences ! For sure, 4 dcons will look good in a car. Is it important for you ? I can understand that.

I suggest 2 Icon's 12" !!! If you can sell 1 dcon, do it because it will be harder to sell 4 of them later when you'll want to upgrade.And I know you will want to upgrade!!!!!!!!! :morepower1: Icon's will sound very good on 2000 watts in a good custom ported box. They will be easy to sell, if you ever want to sell them one day. 2 12"s is a more common setup than 4 10"s. :dancing:

Maybe you can try round flared ports ? Ask Argent Audio or go to Part-express or Madisound for psp ports. You could save some space for your box. It's what I did, and I like it !!!

Nice for the PG. I'm sure PG is more than happy with in this list ! So, the rsd sound much better than my Focal 165 KP ? I've never imagined that !
