  1. Damn you guys are mowing right through this one. Looks solid!
  2. Welcome. Yes. Ugly as shit, but a lot of bang for the buck. Where do you see one for that price?
  3. How many amps is your stock alt/? Can you put another battery in the back?
  4. Budget? or this is a waste of time.
  5. Looks Great! I see a happy customer in your future.
  6. Thanks guys! @ Mark, you are correct it is a great ground pounding set up and will kill the lows. It is loud to the ear, which is what I built it for. I dont go get metered every day, so being loud on a meter was not my main goal and prolly never will be. @ Sefugi, truth. I am not going to sweat it. I have a little plan in progress that will make 150 seem like a distant memory. It could get me divorced too. lol @klee, get busy, finish that system and come on down.
  7. Thanks man. Well first thing I will do is turn up the gains a little bit before I run. I take good care of my stuff so like I said all my settings are to get loud, but not necessarily to squeeze every last little bit out of it. I think for a couple of runs, a little more juice wont hurt. :drink40 My enclosure is pretty much right up against my rear hatch. (GMC Yukon XL) The rear hatch tapers top to bottom. It is wider at the bottom and has 5-6"s or so between the hatch and the port, but up by the rear glass it only has 2-3"s, so next time I will flip the 3rd row forward and push the box away from the hatch to see if that will help. I was told it is sorta acting like a small port being that close. I also got a couple bigger batteries to install and I hope that will help me keep the voltage up a little bit.
  8. So I drove to Sumter today and met up with Master Yoda for the test and tune. This was my first try on any meter and I really had no idea what to expect. I was kinda worried I might get over there and embarrass myself being a virgin and all. Here are the results 148.55 @ 36hz sealed legal 146.10 @ 40hz Average on music 148.67 @ 36hz Peak music I am always pretty conservative with my gains and noticed zero clipping on the TL meter and also got some suggestions to help improve on this. Yoda is putting this on again in 2 weeks and I am curious to see what I can do with a little tweaking and maybe a little turn of the gain. Not too bad for a first time rookie running SQ subs in low tuned box I don't think. Now I want to try again and see if I can touch that 150 mark.
  9. Hey man. Thanks for your time and help today. I learned a lot and appreciate you taking the time to put that on. I am going to move my box around and will come back next week to see if I can squeeze a little more out of these SQ subs of mine. Thanks again bro.
  10. Nice. You don't have to add a disclaimer to those amps. They do rated and will be just as clean as the next amp. Edit, I see the subs now, was on my phone. DOH!
  11. Sexy! I want to do aero ports on my next build.
  12. nice! Impressive score. I like how he made his flared ports with that wood jig. Wonder how he made that jig?
  13. in the towncar? Yea the towncar, sorry you do still have a Lincoln. lol
  14. infinity reference speakers. Bleh! They are shit. You can do better even in that price range. Install will make or break your midbass. What have you listened to that you like? Edit: they changed these recently I guess. My opinion was on the previous reference.
  15. Nice. What were your numbers in the Lincoln?
  16. Actually it's prolly even higher than 55 and going to be more like .6 or .7cf. I just did this very quickly, but it really dont matter. It's going to sound like shit. Sorry, I am not busting your balls, just being honest with you.
  17. I just ate 8 nutter butter's and had a glass of milk now I am off to bed.
  18. I will get a black one tomorrow! Now, how about those damn T-Shirts?
  19. LOL, if that 10.5 is the actual length of the port it's like 55hz.
  20. one of the best sales persons ya got Yeah! Where my damn check?
  21. I loved mine sealed. Very flat and plenty of output.
  22. I would check all the cables and make sure they are good and tight, but it sounds like your alt is just not cutting it at idle.
