Agree with M5. Also, don't be so quick to judge the Pioneers, Alpines, Kicker, etc of the world. With your budget you may just find some you like. Kicker used to have some fantastic component sets, not sure now but go take a listen.

Now that sounds like a plan. Trust me, my truck hates me for all the shit I have in it. It drives like crap, squeaks, and stuff is constantly falling off or just breaking all together. Your wagon will die a quick and painful death I can promise you that. 2 18" zcons on 6k will POUND. When I went from 15" xcons to 18" xcons that difference was VERY noticeable. I think you would be very happy with half what you originally wanted. I am in the same boat and I will be getting a second car come first of the year. I just hope I can stay the course and put a modest SQ system in there as far as audio. Last thing I need is two piece of shit cars. lol

I just noticed something. Your spacers in the rear are on the bottom of the coil. Mine are on the top and that's how the shops around here are putting them in. Why did you put them on the bottom of the coil?

One more thing. Go get one of these. Will help tremendously shaping bondo before it hardens.

Damn it man, I apparently have not paid your build a visit in a while. You have been quite busy. I went through a lot of the same stuff you did with yours. You can read and read, but the reality is you have to do it yourself and learn from what you did right and wrong. I LOVE the idea of porting your pods. I was going to do mine with Aperiodic Membrane, but turned chicken shit and just vented in to the door. Yes, you can use non hardening clay (Hobby Lobby) and I would suggest it. It will add mass and deaden the pod considerably. The best advice I can give you, is make it as smooth as possible in the building stages because sanding bondo and filler is a PITA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think trying to shape a brick and there you go. That is going to be sexy as hell when your done. I see how picky you are and the quality of your work is outstanding.
