  1. Cool. Did you buy another door kit or was the free one enough to cover the center of your 4 doors? My roof and back door panel rattles like all hell. I was going to buy some foam mat of sorts to place between them and the metal to make it a tighter fit along with some deadener on the metal itself. The roof panel really bugs the chit out of me. I hear it flapping behind me and it makes it sound like my sub is farting. If i push up on it, nothing. I hope some mat and/or foam stops this. I am in Florence, BTW. I make it down to MB pretty much once a week. Maybe I can check it out over some lunch one day.
  2. You made that look too easy. This is something I am going to have to do to my Yukon soon. I just cant make myself want to go do it now in the hot ass SC sun. Would you say the spray on is as effective as the mat liner? It looks like a huge time saver. Thank you for sharing your progress and taking time to put up pictures.
  3. It would split the power between your dirvers. 100w / 4 drivers = 25w ea.
  4. Whats wrong with the icons? Is there a reason you want to stay sealed? I have 15" xcons ported and I am very happy with them. They play low and get loud as chit for a pretty small enclosure. (3.5cf ea) I have mine crossed at 80, but when it cools down I am going to rework my front stage with some dedicated midbass drivers and new components. I will crossover lower and I think it will be perfect. Hard to argue with the increase a ported enbclosure gives you over sealed, especially when you can tune low so there are no boomy peaks like a box tuned higher. I listen to mainly rock/metal with some R&B/hip hop. FWIW.
  5. Looks good Lucky. How do you like the Re comps? Those mids look like they are on steroids. I want both your amps.
  6. Dump the cap idea. You will be fine with the 2 batteries and 0/1 wire. Depending on your stock alt, you may not even need to upgrade it. 2000w is not that much.
  7. Thank you Lucky! That is perfect and I feel pretty comfortable giving this a shot now that you have helped me out. You are the chit in my book and I appreciate you taking the time to help me out. Cheers. I will let you know how it turns out. Gotta go cut grass right now, so maybe tomorrow after lunch. Oh boy am I glad I found this little sucker.
  8. Dude, chill out and you may get a reply. Posting every 3 min will not help get a reply. Go eat a sandwich, have a Pepsi and come back. It's not the amps fault it clipped it's you and your volume knob.
  9. Subs up port back, FTW. That's how my Yukon XL is set up, cept I have 15" and more space to the rear door. Didnt want to give up all my storage.
  10. Hey thanks for the reply Lucky. I found the settings you mentioned and there is a big bag of probes. I checked a few and most have 10x on them. Some with alligator clips extended from a wire off the probe, some not. I brought this home with me today so I have use of it as long as I need it. If I took better pics, would you have time to guide me through this process? I would make it worth your time, within reason. its pretty self explanitory ... hook up the 10x probe to the channel 1 ... probe goes on + and alligator clip goes on - output ... run a 50 hz tone for sub 1khz for speaker ... u will see a sine wave it may be too small to see adjust the top channel 1 knob ... if it goes off the screen do the same ... adjust the gains until u get a clip the turn it down a tad Okay, got that part, but I have a few more, sorry. How can I set the head unit? high level or from the rca? Hook to + - or L R and turn it up? What test tone? I have 4 plus sub out. OR do I just set the HU at 75% and go directly to the amps? Do I unhook my speakers? I would think not since my amps would need to see resistance to make the power at ohms I want. Do I hook to the speaker leads at the amp? Where do I ground the probe clip? Negative speaker wire?

  12. Since you have one, can this be used to view a signal from my amps?
  13. LOL I think not, but I just have to ask. Even if it could work, I feel pretty safe in saying I would have no idea how to use it without taking a course at a Tech school. : ) I sell office equipment. The item was found under some boxes in my technicians work area. They didn't know it was there.
  14. Was looking for something today, and found this hiding under some stuff. Anyone ever seen one like this or better yet used one like it? It looks to be over my head unless someone could dumb it down for me. I set gains by ear, but if this could be used I would like to play around with it some. There is no manual that I can find. Maybe I could contact the manufacturer, but thought I would ask here before I put too much effort into something that Maybe cant even be used for what I want to do with it. Here is a pic, sorry it's crappy took it on my Blackberry. Leader LBO 525L Oscilloscope 50MHz Any thoughts ?? Thanks.
  15. Go with the xcons, ported, tune low, you wont be sorry. The xcon is very flat and very musical. Yellow top in the trunk with a 1500D and I you wont need to worry about your alt.
  16. Please post a pic when your done. I have never seen anyone wall off one side of a single cab p/u. Good pair of 10's and a good amp or buy an extended cab. Just sayin. Edit to add that this is just too damn funny. "i'm gonna have to secure it in my front seat... because i'm not looking to make durastic changes"
  17. I would not cut the boot. If you cut the boot you will let moisture get in there. How much depends on how big you make the cut. Disconnect it from the door and body and it may give you a little more wiggle room. The lube is a good idea too.
  18. @ juslivin, like the new avitar. It made me LOL to see her in that big azz port. Sorry to crap the thread.
  19. do this... but something is not rite. you need to go back over your wiring again b4 you go buyin more equipment. does the sub just stop or does the amp cut off/ go into protect? only with 1200 watts, a 120a alt and big 3 you shouldnt be seein that big of a drop. Agree with everything you said. 1200w on a 120a alt and a good battery should not be a big deal as long as they are both in good working order.
  20. Not Very Nice To Call The Ball And Chain That, She Might Take It Out On Your Pecker. Dont forget to post pics!
