Not sure if all DC alts have same nut but iirc its 8mm. And if so might wanna pinn as i did lose the nut while running 2 runs 1/0 and had extremely tight space to work with.

That alt should support a 3krms setup as long as you use 2 batts IE: yellow top and kinetik 2400 and upgrade wiring to 1/0 minimum, and some common sense goes a long way.

Here are 2 of my fav cables, on left is 2/0 welding flex-a-prene and other is kicker 1/0 both are nice and flexable, i opted to do 2 runs of the kicker since i could only find it in 50' spool, and supporting 5kw, but one run should be fine for your goal. the major benefit will come with 250+ amp alt.

Dc Power FTW, Just hope that don't happen in an 00-05 Caddi deville, cost me 400.00 and some change to have it installed on top the 700.00 for the alt, and trust me this is not a DIY job on this vehicle. DC power is solid, 12.5 - 13.3v SAZ-4500d wired @ 1ohm, music small yellow top and hc2400 at 3/4 vol idle, 13.8 dropping to 13.1 with an occasional 12.7 with some throttle full tilt. And as with all alts heat plays a factor and results varied. My ECM liked to play it cold at 15.2v, hot 14.1 - 14.6 idle no volume for reference. As far as customer service Rob got me the first time direct fit and answered the phone an understandable 80% of the time.

Like what im hearing, gonna run 2 12cons on 3kw+ and from what i hear they step up to the mic and deliver. Not to mention the WTF u got in there's.

I think youd be better off with the 2 icons for a couple of reasons: thermal capability, less wiring, more manageable, and enclosure optimization. Just my .02 cents. either way you will be happy but with the 2 icons = more piece of mind, and as mentioned above greater chance of selling them.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I been there, Fedx Played a similar game with me when i shipped out my 4500, I will stick with UPS i have never had any problems with sending subs and amps, When i shipped the amp with fedex when the package was supposedly lost eventually found and made its way to the person who bought it, and was not in same packaging i sent it out in, it looked like they had played hockey with it. To say the least ill never go with fedex again.

Ok im seriously considering putting a fosgate 2500.1 constant power amp on the Xcons been seeing an average birth on em around or over 3krms and do that power at 1 and 2ohms what are your guys opinion on these amps the resources are limited as it is hard to find good review.

Looks like poor overall construction and internal bracing would help out a lot. An yea letting the box sit out in the elements for a couple weeks can allow moisture to get in and weaken and expand the wood.
