if you have the electrical to back it up you can run at .5 ohm, you just lose the warranty when you do that. dont expect jacob to fix it when it breaks. and i dont know what a 4 banner is or bull batteries.

welcome! i wouldnt wire it down that low, im pretty darn sure it voids the warranty on the amp. but its up to you of course a 150 COULD be done, it just depends on the install/vehicle/tuning/yada yada yada.

i use some split loom to cover the wire i dont want to be noticed under the hood. helps a lot with the color factor. knu gives some in their kits, enough to cover what i want in the engine bay. but i like the color im some places. at the amp connection i think it looks cool

No, you might have misunderstood. its NOT the amp's fault. It's YOUR fault for setting the gain wrong. fix what we have said and you wont have a problem. No cooling problems. No "weak" coil problems. No amp problems.

stop blaming inanimate objects. they only do what you tell them to do, which was obviously too much. everyone is telling you it's you, setting your gain too high that fried the sub, yet your still asking about fixing the box or something. listen to what you're told, READ what people are offering to help you. there is absolutely nothing that needs to be fixed or upgraded on the Xcon. yes you can get a better amp, and a better alt, but until then you could still use them both. you just needed to compensate for the lower power supply (alt) and weak amp you have and turn the volume/gain down. and you knew this from the start. all you would talk about is your voltage dropping down to TEN volts. thats terrible. stop asking questions about the recone in the thread and actually email or pm SSA about pricing and how to get one. stop being spoon fed and do some of your own work and read to learn what you need to do better next time so you dont kill such a beautiful sub again.

what i want my components to sound like will probably be different than what you want. so... we need to know what you want. it doesnt matter what we choose out of the blue. put all three in, take a couple days with each, and tweak with each one and figure out which you prefer.
