  1. You will still have to buy another battery if you do fry this one from lack of the extra battery, making it cost more anyways. i say get it In your first post it says .6, and then later you said 1, nothing about 2. Did i miss something??
  2. X2 on the knobs. while using CDs the max i go is 3 clicks, any more and there is no more output. with my mp3 player i have to go up to around 6 to get some decent output. I've got an idea why, but who knows. (i tuned my gains with the knob turned all the way up)

The market interests me, mostly for the chance to test myself in seeing/reading about something and taking a risk with something i trust. But i'm nowhere near the point to put any money forward. What do you use to trade? website, someone do it for you, or how do you guys actually do it? I know there is scottstrade and other companies like that, but they seem too "mainstream" and don't seem like they are worth it. Maybe im missing something.
  6. IMO the best way to get the most out of your purchase is to be able to make it last for longer than a couple months. AKA being nice to it I've had my BL for a year and a half ish now and it can still hurt my ears. I'll sell it sooner or later, but i already feel like i have gotten it's worth out of it.
  7. how much you can send to a sub depends a bit on the box. it's good to stay with the RMS just to play safe. Bigger boxes take less power to get the sub to it's limits, while smaller boxes can let you give more power before it reaches it's limits. That's not the only thing to factor in though, cooling and such change with all of the above. i would stick with what we've already said. tune by ear. you will know when something is working too hard. just listen carefully. if you think its too much, it probably is. turn it down after that. you will learn the sounds sooner or later and you will learn a lot about your system with time and messing with it. just be careful and dont go crazy
  8. Are you TRYING to be loud outside? There is absolutely no reason for that if you are. You put this stereo in your car for YOUR listening preferences, not the driver next to you. It is install dependent and in this case the car could play a large role. But again, i would be (and you should be too!) happier with the quieter system from the outside, and make fun of my friend trying bragging about how loud his is outside. You wont get any help if all you are trying to be is a public nuisance.
  9. IF he wants that power, which i wouldn't try to do on that amp and sub combo.
  10. HAHA just sucks the power out of it. My car has barely any HP as is. If i put a HO alt on the little thing really wont like me.
  11. Just set your gain by ear. if it sounds like crap turn it down, once it starts to bottom or or get close back off a bit and you should be good. set your SSF about 5-7 hertz below your box tuning. Set the LPS (low pass filter) around 80-100. this again depends on the box and what it sounds like. I have mine at about 80.
  12. Lookin good. glad they sound as good and better than expected. Waiting on the box build!
  13. What kind do you recommend? Chevron with Techron That's all i use. Nice to know.

I thought that covering those large holes helped the midbass out a ton? Or were you not concerned with that? Any XCONs in store for that little trunk?
  18. What kind do you recommend?
  19. Did you weigh, or measure the strips you put on? if so what are the numbers? How accurately were the strips placed on the can, from one to the next? That's kinda' confusing, i don't know how to ask. Did you make some measurements into placing the strips on the can?
  20. Yeah, i have a suggestion. GO BIG OR GO HOME!
