there asking 500 which is a tad over my max spending. even at 450, its a little much for me. and i wont be purchasing a amp for atleast another month if not longer. I highly suggest saving your money until you can buy something worthwhile. Remember, you get what you pay for. $400 for 3k is hard to find unless you come across a killer deal in the Classifieds.

You don't have to upgrade the amp right away. At the moment, I'm only giving my Sundown Nightshades a combined 1500 RMS and they can handle much more. If I were you, I would pick up another XCON then upgrade your electrical until you are able to properly support an amp with around 3K RMS. As for the box, any chance you can build it yourself? There are a lot of people here who can help with designs.

I guess what I should have said was don't put the 5.1 system you bought at Wal-Mart in your car. Probably not the best or coolest thing ever.

Use the search feature here on the forum to RESEARCH the two products you are comparing. The reason a lot of us seem to come down hard on threads like this is because they pop up almost every day. Seriously take a look through the forum before making a thread. That way, you can make an educated post with what you've found and/or need help understanding. You've given us NO information to work with regarding what your install will be like or even what car it's going in. It's not as simple as a vs thread. There are many factors which will play into what woofer is better suited for your needs.

I also suggest an alarm with a shock sensor. Usually for around $400 and up you can get a decent alarm with a lot of features including remote start installed. $400 may sound like a lot but when it scares people away it already paid for itself.

Ya I heard I just missed you at the show. By the time I got there I guess everything was winding down. Unfortunately my system wasn't even playable at the time. I was out the night before and something came loose while I was being reckless. lol. You will have to excuse all the cleaning gear in the trunk. Gotta be on the safe side in case an emergency cleaning is needed. The Eagle 1 tire gel is the best stuff I've ever used.
