Power Handling Fi BTL 18 fully loaded "daily"
Thats over double the rms daily. I wouldn't do more than 2k daily.

Sub Break In
True. I see all the time where a kid says he saved all summer to get an N2.. could be the same for anyone. Cant blame em for being cautious.

Power Handling Fi BTL 18 fully loaded "daily"
No. The cooling only allows you to bang longer w/o the sub getting hot as quickly & contributing to failure. (Good choice for daly). All Fi's are underrated, but fully loaded will allow you to push the envelope a little further.

SP4 Questions
The BC3500 would be fine. I have 4 SP4 18's w/ a BC3500 on each one in a 4th order at .5ohm ea. If your doing ported, 6-8cu ft would be great. That's if you have it. It'd be best to figure max internal volume you'll have after wood displacement & then tune accordingly.

Any one working in Fi Land today?
Shawn will be out for a lil while. He's had to fly back to FL (from Vegas) to have surgery on his leg. Currently it looks like they'll have to amputate just below his knee. For now, just try the number to the shop. Scott should answer if he's near the phone.

FI 418s 4th order single reflex bandpass design!!!
Hey Bro. Your story took me back to the 90's as well. Before we knew what ported, 4th orders & etc was. When sealed was all we knew & 1000w shook the whole block lol. Anyway, I know most are gonna steer you toward the higher series w/ a gazillion watts. We're building my 4th order now w/ 4 18 Fi SP4's, but that's not what you're going for & I wouldn't tell you to do so. You said you wanna jam all day at shows. Big subs & a million watts aren't gonna do it unless you do a 2nd morgage to do the build. You're gonna wanna go w/ a lower series that doesn't take a lot of watts to move. The more watts you gotta give a sub, the more your gonna have to feed it. And you wanna keep that low to last longer. The SSD series would be the line for you. Get amps that'll give them their rms but also amps that are efficent, not power hungry ones like HiFonics or MA. You'll still have to do electrical upgrades but nothing near trying to feed amps supplying 20k watts to 4 subs.

My "Red Chrome" dustcap stickers are coming off :(
Mine too. The ones w/ metal content tend not to wanna lay down on the curved surface.

My last 4 orders took 1 month to the day to be at my door. Lol. It was kinda funny. It was like clock work. But yea, their behind.
