  1. Great deal for those guys on a budget lookin for a solid amp.
  2. I do maintenence and moving for ReMax Gold Real Estate. If a primadonna agent wants to move their office or some lights go out, Im yur man. Its only a part time gig that allows me to spend time on my sunny Cali hobbies.
  3. You should always use at least 3/4" mdf when building subwoofer enclosures. Also dont forget a double baffle as well. That means double thickness on the top where the driver mounts.
  4. Thanks a lot guys. The scenery is just beautiful through the coast up north. Its retirement area if you like the outdoors and weather. The dunes are absolutely the best Ive ever seen. The lifetime locals that we rented the ATVs from said the Oregon sand dunes are the largest in the United States. Ive been to Sandmountain in Nevada and it is nothing campared to the Oregon dunes imo. The summer time is supposed to be off the hook also with something called Dune Fest and Sand Fest during June-July. I cant wait to go back!

Here are a few pictures that I thought I would post from this weeks trip to Oregon. I took a friend and his son that are visiting from Arkansas to look for property around the coast and had a blast. Hotel we stayed in. A shot from across the way. It had a pretty decent view overlooking the ocean. This was interesting... The best part of the whole trip. I havent ever had an interest in ATVs until the sand dunes. Now I want one and will plan trips up there just for that! 8 miles long and like 4 miles wide. I love that place. Going back ASAP! This is his son. Hes about six foot and 155 lbs. That tree is a small one where we were. Gigantic redwoods are pretty awesome!
  6. I had one and I didnt like it. It does the job though on a tight budget. Dont expect any sound quality from that amp either.
  7. Thank you. I actually have a ton of room still. I moved my thigh out of the way for a good picture so its not in my way whatsoever. They could be bigger if I feel the need to make new ones when my system goals change.
  8. I think I might need some dcons soon.
  9. If I buy a Shelby Mustang, does that mean I want to be like Carol Shelby? I dont think so. It doesnt work that way. Eff the haters man. Its not like he has a patent for four 18" drivers or something. Its just a good idea. We all borrow ideas at one time or another. Lookin good though. This truck is gonna get loud. Im tuned in.
  10. Jacob said it needs it. You should do it. Thats why he made the terminals so large.
  11. You guys are waaaay wrong. Try the Colts dudes. Colts vs Cardinals. Colts win 38-24. That is a lead pipe, stone cold, dead on lock. Believe dat.
  12. Is the depth supposed to be 31"? Doesnt make sense.
  13. Today I decided to use some damplifier on my pass door. I didnt go as ape shit as I did on the driver door but its still too much I assume. Instead of removing all the window guts and completely lining the inside, I just slid the window assembly down a little and patched on what I could. I used up the rest of my first 30ft2 package of damplifier lite. Then I did a test fit to make sure they fit well and to see how it looks. Cleaned up door for second skin I had some annoying metal vibrating with the panel off on this side. This sure fixed that. A look inside the door. Attached the pod with some 2" industrial velcro from the depot. Holding real solid. Better than I thought actually. Test fitting the panel on the door.
  14. I appreciate it. Ive been getting inspired since the first time I visited this site. Glad to hear Im giving back. Everything helps for the next guy!
  15. Ive been thinking about doing the BTL the most too. Getting a router and rounding all the top edges. Really doing it nice with an interesting coating of some sort also. The geo door pods really should be second to agree with you. Its dying for some midbass/midrange/tweeter upgrades. Might have to email Mark at Mach5 for another set or two of MLI65s! I just emailed Mark two seconds ago asking him is the price still the same to get them shipped to my zip code, and how do I go about paying (I need 3 more to complete my install). In a recent email with Mark myself, he stated they are $39.60 each, including shipping. I dont know if that was to my zip though because he didnt say. By the way he worded it, it was a general price, I think. It is still $39.60 each which includes shipping.

  17. That wasnt good. Back up by ten two min to go. Lets see what you got #3.
  18. Good thread to learn from, he did an excellent job Thats what I was aiming for jay-cee! Glad to know Im helping out dude. Thanks. Btw, its a lot EASIER than I thought it would be. Just do it in the summertime when its warm! I appreciate the compliment Denim. I put a lot of hours into those babies! Yeah so far the back doors and all pillars (A, B, C) will be glassed to fix some speaker holes and screw holes from previous installs, so glassing is my next step in this game. Good luck on the build, whats next? Sounds like a good way to dip your feet in. It wont take but a few sessions and your confidence about the whole process will begin to grow exponentially. Whats next? Im thinking about two things right off the batt: 1) Build a new enclosure for the BTL. Toying with the idea of around 10ft3 after all displacements at about 32hz. 45 all the inside corners for air exitement and glass the inside of the box as well. 2) Build a new enclosure for the Z15. Staying with the same size or maybe a .25ft3 less and tuned around 32hz. Glass one side of the enclosure to make room for an amp rack on other side with the SAE1200D. Or glass both sides so I can custom mount the amp on the face, so when you open the hatch, its lookin right at you. I wanted to do door pods for the geo like jblcamry has done but I need actual product for that. I havent any more speakers. Making sub enclosures are just buying supplies. A little less money. This will likely be third. Im going to do all, just not sure which one will be first. Which one sounds better?

Me too! Im going to have to redesign a new box to fit the SAE1200D in there because I want to keep the seat up. I changed the amp location to the hatch next to the box in a vertical position. The SAE1200D is a little bigger and it has to go somewhere else. Im thinking of glassing the sides of the hatch so I can get maximum volume in the enclosure. Id like to build the amp rack into the enclosure so when you open the hatch, its staring right at you. Just another project with a shitload of man hours!

Thank you. It does the job but it would be perfect for a low wattage setup. A driver or two up to about 500 watts would be great with this. Just like the dcons or icons deal you guys had before.

Your names are so similar and Im such a douche. I almost did it the other day and caught myself. I even had the thought before I opened this post again because I thought, did I do it? Yup. I did. Sorry dude.
