  1. the point of this post and why it's been so popular is for people to tell stories of the so called Professionals that work in retail store that don't know what they should know to do there profession. would you go to a doctor that didn't know the difference between you kidney and your liver and what their functions are? I wouldn't. I've worked in a couple of audio shops and hated it because the owner of the stores sold crappy equipment at rediculous prices and wanted us to install them as cheap as possible. and lying to customers about product so that he can make another dollar. I didn't last in those shops because I would question the installers ways, so i quit those crappy shops.
  2. that vent in the back is kinda wierd. is there anything connected to it.?
  3. Ruckus Looks real from a distance
  4. Yea mechman has great customer service and they will help you get what you need
  5. Good choice with the DC subs and sundown amps. I would suggest putting 45's in the corners of that box. I didn't see any unless I'm mistaken. I would go with Kinetik FTW. I'm a Kinetik dealer and could get you some and I'm in houston,tx just PM me if interested Also. Seal off that trunk. increase your DB by sealing off that trunk from the back seat so that everything stays in the cabin of the car. MY two cents
  6. i've had some experience with those ebay brand alt. like DB electrical. but not BNR alternators and starters All they do is take a stock alt and rewrap it with more copper. but what that does is take away from the idle output of the alt. even still I had a DB electrical "200amp" HO alt. bought on back in 2005 for my truck back then and it did nothing to help my system. my idle voltage actually dropped and I did the big 3 and everything. Overrated in my opinion
  7. So your adding two subs and you need springs that can handle 780lbs each?
  8. I could be your browser. For some reason. If i try to upload pics from a external source, like a flash drive or camera, it won't upload. If i transfer those pics to my computer, then it transfer fine. Not sure if your trying to upload pics from an external source.
  9. What do you mean Just like me? I'm not understanding what your talking about. PLEASE elaborate
  10. Naw it just shows you he was trying to sell you what he had and most people dont mess with what they dont know or dont want competition taking there money (a real business person would help you in making the right decision for you and not for them at the end of the is just sales and revenue). So true
  11. keep it coming Jay-cee.
  12. So in your opinion, its a toss up between the SX and the Death Row. In reference to the SX that you heard before, how does the Q hold up against it, or vice versa. in my opinion. The Q is more of an SQ sub. the SX and death rows are more towards performance. like i said they put out some major bass in the right application
  13. Hey just a hea's up at that show with 5 wittnesses 30 ft away from the term lad it hit a 127.8 while demo one window down lmao thats enough to for a good drive by for meca .... this is one my favorite builds. good work sir.
  14. Yea you got alot of space in the boat. LOL suburbans are huge. Do the front stage right. nice mids and highs to keep up with the subs. I've seen that video that Meade did and yes it did save space. but he has a tahoe and you have a suburban. you have alot more space that he does. no need to drill that huge hole in your floor keep us posted on this one. this should be interesting.
  15. yeah... but first i have to pay off a huge fine for violating the sound ordiance LOL Please be respectful for the sake of car audio enthusiasts and the public. Yea. Alot of cities around the country are acutually banning loud car stereos. to the point that they will tow your car and have the system taken out at YOUR expense. some crazy stuff. So be respectful
  16. Man. that sucks. go to the team ssa section of the forum. they have something on stickers in there.
  17. theres no built in fuse on the 2608. and this is going to sound very irresponsible and noobish... but i didnt have an external fuse on it. from a birds eye view, this was probably an event waiting to happen. im a broke 19 year old student. im running 4 guage, stock electrical, and no fuses. very stupid, i know. Yea. lesson learned. never just assume that your systeme will be ok without fuses where they belong, because stuff like this happens. take the extra 20 mins to install the fuse and fuse block next time.
  18. Honestly. both companies make really good product. really I would go with what goes best according to your standards and what your looking for in your setup. I've heard the SX personally and they get low. Never heard the death row's personally, but from what i've heard and seen in video's they get down.
  19. Looking good sir. keep us updated.
  20. Q #1-- yes that 18 is going to be considerablly louder than that CV 15. the equipment, install and box build is going to determine how the subs will sounds Q #2-- If you set the amp correctly(gains, crossover, etc.) and you give the sub clean power, then it won't hurt the sub. If your clipping everything trying to get more sound out of the amp, then yes you will hurt the amp and the subs. Q #3-- Big 3 upgrade would be the most cost efficient way of upgrading your electrical. upgrading the alt. wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
  21. x2 I like that it is firing in two different directions. bass surround
