  1. Ya that is what I thought it could be. I hope lol. I finally got the 3sixty.2 to work right before I had to leave for college. So I am kinda pissed I didn't get to use it yet and see if that is what it was. Next week I will have to check it out. It's going to be eating at me all week though. Is it possible that the speaker was damaged? They are hardly seeing any power (probably 40 watts). I was listening to a talk show today and it seems to do it a lot too. It is mainly out of the left speaker. The right speaker does it occasionally but not usually (maybe I just can't hear it because I am not next to it).
  2. Ya so the 3sixty.2 was installed this week as well as the midbasses. Apparently I am going to have to modify my doors more than expected. Mids and highs amps are temporarily wired. Have a couple problems with the midbasses that I still have to assess (scratchiness for some reason). Currently have them running full range and I have not heard the horns yet. Was not able to use the 3sixty software yet so don't ask about it. It was a pain in the ass trying to find a bluetooth computer that was capable of connecting with the freaking thing. My old hp notebook didnt work as well as my sisters because the bluetooth link was outdated, my mac would not work because its a piece of shit mac and nobody makes software for the mac, my mom's laptop didnt work because it didnt have bluetooth, and both my gf and her mom's laptops didnt have bluetooth. My dad finally let me upload the software on his work laptop in which I had to spend 2 hours to figure out that his company took out the bluetooth software and I had to reload it all again. I guess the good news is I didn't have to go out and buy a netbook with bluetooth or a windows mobile phone. Just an all around shitty week as far as installation went. No pics because there were no pics worthy of being taken. Sorry. Hopefully the plexi comes in next week and this build can actually show some of the work that has been put into it.
  3. Well I can get by with building a wall without taking out my back seats. So that's not really a concern. I just need a big enough enclosure for this sub, and building a box for it isn't a reality when it comes to this car.
  4. Why would you take out your back seats to mount one sub? Building a wall IS NOT a walk in a park as I am finding out right now. It makes you look at installing a "box" in a completely different manner. I am guessing you have more room than 6-7^3 ft. Take measurements and see where you stand. Try to avoid building a wall at all possible costs unless it is something you really really want to do.
  5. I ordered a 50.4 in hopes of bridging it to get the proper power I need out of my midbasses. After purchasing the amplifier, I looked at the wiring diagram for bridging and it only shows mono subwoofer. I wanted to run these at stereo for my midbasses xover actively from 60-1.2kHz. Is bridging out of the question?
  6. I just installed a set of image dynamics x69. I am running them full range right now with the high pass set at 60hz. The 3sixty.2 hasn't even been tuned yet. I am not even bridging the sax 50.4 yet. For some reason I am getting a scratching noise on some of the mid-high frequencies (ex:someone singing a higher octave). I was not playing these loud at all. In fact we were just testing them to make sure sound came out. Is this because the speaker was not meant to play higher frequencies? When I integrate my horn tweeters should I be fine or is there a possibility that something is wrong with either the install or the product itself? Any input would be great. Thanks!
  7. As long as it lasts me until the summer im fine. Then I will be making that dough again through my internship. I am going to upgrade the suspension as well as the rims. Still planning out the rims. I am going 22" black with a chrome lip. Deep dishin' it too. I have narrowed it down to these two so far... http://www.kurumadouraku.com/goods_image/A332_Z1.jpg http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/tis/swap/tis_07_black_ci3_l.jpg
  8. Probably not getting to the construction of the box this week. The way things work with this wall is everything has to go in at a certain time or else it will never go in. The port needs to go in while putting up the floor without the sidewalls. This being said we cant do anything until I construct the port and supplies wont be in until wednesday =( We will be modifying the doors this weekend though
  9. My dad just ordered the 8000 series 55" led. Cant wait to see that baby.
  10. I want to see some testing done on these. I was going to get an MLA but this is much better. My concern is will this kill the alternator? I don't know if it is smart to max out your alt like that. I might contact Dom over at Iraggi and see what he says.
  11. The stuff I bought is the film used to make mirrors. If you were to buy a mirror that would be at least 1/8" thick. That is taking up port space. I have a big port so it would decrease the area by quite a bit. Big jon i was thinking the same thing. That is why I asked if anyone knew of a chrome spray paint that actually worked lol.
  12. What did I say that was an oxymoron?
  13. I found this stuff. I think this should be fine. http://www.mirrorsheeting.com/
  14. I might just end up buying this stuff they use for solar panels. It is paper thin and has an adhesive backing. It is 94% reflective. Its over my budget but it will work the best. I dont know how much of an effect reflection is going to make seeing I am using florescent green plexi. Do you think I should just go with the spray paint, this stuff, or something else? http://www.reflectechsolar.com/pricing.html I dont want to mess with the aluminum. It will be too much of a hassle. I only need 25 sq ft so I emailed this company and asked them how much it would cost. We will have to see.
  15. I wanted to paint my port chrome and layer it in plexi. What would provide me with the greatest reflectivity as far as spray paint goes? I looked into mirror finish film but it seems to be quite pricy. I wanted to spend around 50 dollars max for about 25 sq ft.
  16. I already layed out some fabric to protect the floor. Will the polyfill idea work?
  17. thats not gonna happen ahaahah. Is there anything else that I could use as fill? Like could I use maybe some polyfill to fill the major gaps and spray foam the rest and the outside area?
  18. ummm ahhhh gahhhhh ehhhhh
  19. Contact shawn. His username on ssa is shizzon. He is alway in the ssa live chat room.
  20. I don't plan on selling the car for 5 years because that is when I will be out of college =)
  21. It will be permanent until I sell the car.
  22. I am building a wall and still need to seal it off on the sides and wherever there is space in between the box and the car walls. Is there a cheaper more efficient method besides spray foam? I am asking this because I am going to need about 20 cans of spray foam, if not more. I have also heard that spray foam is hard to work with. If there is something that is about the same price but is easier to work with please let me know. Thanks!!!!
  23. Absolutely nothing got done today. All my friends pretty much came over and just talked to josh and I for the time being. The box was supposed to be constructed but we got nowhere. The only progress that was made was the baffle rings were predrilled lol. Tune in for next week. Hopefully the box will be constructed by then =)
  24. GOT SOME PICHAZ!!! Dominating some fabric Had to cut some screws with the roto zip because I got sliced badly with the protruding screws lol. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA Temporarily painted baffle. Will be using herculiner when finished. 60ft of 1/8" thickness angle iron [ Hand bandsaw taking it to the house The cut angle iron I had to drill 700 holes in the angle iron with a bridgeport. Took 4 hours lmao. Ill get more pics up later. The box should be constructed by the end of the night/tomorrow morning.
