  1. man, we have a couple of shops in Indy, that are crap. I know there is some talented young folks on here that would give anything to have opportunity to own a shop. when you walk into these places that i am refering to, there is a sense of stuck up snotty nose lil sh*ts , i have seen times we walk in , look around 15 minutes , leave, never a word spoken to us in the way of a greeting or to offer a service.......wtf! i will say the most recent one i found, up north, i would like to go back a few times, day and night differance. it all comes down to people skills, some shops realy lack that..............well mids stuck to the doors .........thats just f*ing gay! lol chop
  2. might have some copper pipe smashing going on over here, ha, lol. i like that idea, looks like you are going to have a decent box too.
  3. i knew i liked them doors
  4. i just found my most favorite builder / fabricator ever.......dude I have seen alot of builds, this one gots me all fuzzy feeling..... i swear my first reaction was if i had the cash, i would hire you for a full vehicle build! i need twice the pics, where did your inspiration come from? I have not seen these type enclosures before, (well maybe a couple of pictures from a vegas show), is that where you are from? too cool , i am really impressed, I can't get a rectangular box to look this good. thanks for shareing, chop
  5. tell me more, what aspects do they have that seem to take away from their sensibility of being in a vehicle? I know thier size is ackward, however if I am doing the math right it will fit in the manner in which is appealing to me. I have read of their steep roll off below tunning and the response seems to go away somewhat quickly on the top end as well, I was thinking that the low tunning I would be having it aat would do nicely, not thinking that i would be going lower, and the other end , others have mentioned, I beleive that my mid bass would be ablle to begin to pick up. keeping in mind that I am only stabbing at this, I do not have any real data or test material to back my thoughts as of yet. ///M , considering myself geared toward ground pounding, what would your suggestion be, or if it is just the T-line is not your thing, what factors should I be aware of that might take away from my set-up? glad to see you dropping in on this, there is alot of aspects to it I want to understand. man some of those home audio t-lines are insane builds. read up briefly on them as well, skipping all the big words, lol. thanks chop
  6. uh, > whispers < ca, search t-line, also ***....
  7. Okay this is what I am going to worjing with for a little while; 2009 WMD215R D1 T/S parameters in series : FS 25 hz..............( was told after break in 24hz. is better number) Qms 4.3 Vas 3.7 cft mms 368 g re 2 ohms Qes .52 SPL 87 db SPL 1w/1m pdia 330.2 mm Qts .46 Le 1.2 BL 15 ......................(found this for xmax) (Xmax is around .75" and Xmech is 1.5"(FYI both parameters are 1 way) So 3" total throw.) I found this sub on another site, used, $200 bucks shipped and insured. After I had purchased the sub I learned there is some controversy amongst the folks building it and some of our guys on here, I feel the need to just throw a mention of that out there. If you plan on buying directly fom these folks perhaps a little research should be done. I have not had a chance to test thier product, however I know I got my sub at about half the price that they are asking for it. upon opening the box and pulling out the sub, well, it is a big boy! the shipping weight is 55.2 lbs. , they say it is 880oz. ,sturdy, never the less. "These subs are recomended for low tuning 35 hz and down and are geared for extreme low end responce not higher frequency SPL applications. box size can range from 2.5 ft^3 - 5 ft^3 ported and sealed boxed are not recomended. MSRP = $400 each." from their sight. this is one of thier pictures of the 15" this is the only pic i got of it so far. I am guessing some of you like these type of pics, so here it is. so, this sub purchase was from an attraction to get low, I am all for loud and will be attempting that even better in the future, currently though, I am guessing that if I put 1600 watts of my Sundown SAZ-3000D behind this sub and build the t-line enclosure for it, I will have enough loud for me as well as low! I will post up some additional pictures of the sub in a week or so. I hope to spend the next few days studying t-line enclosures. If I am up on my game correctly so far, I will need the 1/4 wave of my fs (24hz.) to be around 11.77 feet! that is quite the port length right there! the port area is said to want to be the same as the sd (cone area), of my sub, uh if my math is correct, that is 132.665" sqaure inches! Wow! that is a big ol' port now! I will be inverting my sub, I have always liked this style. I am still trying to figure if i want port mouth to fire to the side or up, along with the sub firing up as well. Thanks for you input, chop.
  8. WOW! What a week! you guys are great! Yes, Alex is home, and he is doing better everyday, I first thought scareing would be an issue but i am thinking he will not even have them. the doctors identified what he had through the lab test and was able to modify the antibiotics accordingly, and really kicked it in it's but. I have been so busy with other chores, playing catch up is no fun. I can't believe how scary this was, and then like to have some killer support like this in the background is just awesome. i can't say thank you enough. I know that i have read several post ( hard to find them all) of other members haveing hard times, as i read them, i would pray for them and their families, it is hard to post responses with my phone, so when i was at the hospital i would mostly read. thanks again for being some great buds, that is golden. ............. and yes i got to get some pics going, lol, my sorry butt still has not even got the cord for the camera yet, but i will post a cell phone pic at least. ............................sorry! i will get on it, i swear! lol
  9. sub arrived, opened box, looked at it, ...................nice, stuck it on dresser, and left. sucks not to get excited about it, perhaps this weekend things will get back to normal, after 'lil man' gets home.
  10. you guys are great, it does good to log on for a few and see so much support. Thank you. The doctors have managed to stop the spread of the sores, they are less severe as just yesterday, they have the strongest antibiotics running through him 24 hours a day. the worst part is not knowing, and even worse seems the guesses, they do not add any peace of mind. it will be tomorrow night before some of the test begin to show results. Alex is doing good as far as a healthy baby goes, my nickname for him is 'lil' man , and he is trying to push that , lol, he is already 11 lbs. and has gained an inch so now 23"s , he is 2 weeks old today! he ran a fever a few times today but they were able to drop it back down each time. I will be praying that late tomorrow afternoon or early evening, they can start elimanating some of the worse cases and identifiy what has a hold of him, this will help them to get it completly gone. I want you guys to know there is a couple of members on here that go above and beyond to be there for me and my family, one partically stands out is also a part of our armed forces, it is a great man to have the mindset to fight for our country and our families freedom, it is even that much more outstanding that he would reach out to me, a stranger, to offer support on a personal level, that is a amazing example of what we all need to strive for! thank you sir! thank all of you, and as small as it may seem, when i am with Alex I tell him all of grandpa's buddies are praying for him! thanks from my whole family, Chop
  11. mdizzle, you are a kickass brother, thanks for looking out for us, I brought Regina home to get a shower and send the girls to grandmas, then we are going back up there. i posted a new thread so that i could keep the updates current.
  12. first and foremost,,thank you for your prayers, they are needed and do work! It feels good to be part of something that is real, I am glad that we have all of your support. Alex has a very aggresive skin condition that is resulting in large, puss filled blisters, (3/8" to 5/8"), they are very concerned of them entering his blood stream (at first they thought it had already) they have taken countlees bllod samples, they have taken cultures of the sore itself, (by cutting the sores literally off), and also strapped him down on a board and done a spinal tap, removing flood directly from his spine, all of this has been sent to labs, it is a horrible sight to see so much trama to a new born. he is in a very reputable hospital here in Indy, and they have included the neighboring hospital help, in which is a complete childrens hospital, he has what they cal a team working around the clock with him, consisting of eleven doctors, all of who have nurses and interns as well. he is in isolation until they can identify what has attacked him, we have to gown up and gloves, mask, footies, before entering a second doorway, and remove all of it before exiting, everyone has to do this. there is no fever, and he has all healthy baby signs, just a very aggressive skin condition, they have given slight hints but no true info has came of it. they are saying it could be 24 to 48 hours still for first results and realistically several weeks before he is home again. please keep praying, your prayers are stronger than 100 of their teams put together, I know he is in the best hands, and i know the lord will see that they are guided in the right direction. thanks for giving a listen, helps to get it out. Chop p.s. Samantha and Paul are being super strong, they are going through hell in all of this. they are great 'new' parents.
  13. thanks bro, packing some stuff for the kids and geting my other two off to school and headed back up there.
  14. been at hospital all night with Alex, he is in isolation unit with blood infection, please say prayers.

  17. oh, okay, lol, yeah i see your approach now, no , i wish i did! yeah they would be old news if i started saving , lol. chop
