rather sure i have lost my dam mind, but then again you cant loose something you never had! okay, my new goal, well it will be to run old school install in the cutlass. sealed wall! yup, going to do 4 18" ssa xcons on 8k sealed :-) done sketched, measured, considered, and pondered long enough. and even saved up a little in the process. the goal, of coarse, like many around here, be done in time for slamology..... gotta change up some bracing and finish my glassing, probably need to catch up my pics too. will have the first part, (4 subs, 2 bateries, & 2 amps), ready inside of a month, and if all goes well, the other 2 amps and 2 batteries will be in by mid june, should be a very comfortable goal to achieve. front stage, well........ working on several ideas....i am sure i will narrow it down when it is time to pull the trigger.

might be working on this heap again soon, determined to pull through with this build, lol curious, will i ever decide on my sub application and enclosure design, seems all i know is what brand of drivers i will be using, lol

Denims right. What is your goal? SPL or SQ? Whats your budget? And dont go with three subs. Its a waste of a sub, space, wood, and power, You wouldnt hear any difference wid 3 subs. It would be the same as 2 (Its also less efficient) & maybe just a 1.5db increase. So either go with 2 or 4. If you want SPL go ported. But if your tight on space and just want SQ, and good deep tight bass go sealed. I PREFER ported. If you want Dcons sealed do 13cuft, Ported 16cuft tuned from 28-33hz. ICONS: 10cuft sealed. PORTED: 13cuft. tuned from 29-33hz. XCON: 5.5cuft sealed. PORTED: 6.5-7.75cuft tuned from 27-34hz. Those are options (Hope u like). Whatever setup u get will be loud! Should be in early-mid 140's easily P.S: If money aint shit. Get ZCONS!! Whatever you chose I wish you the best of luck! i often have pondered this thought, curious if i went three 18"s sealed instead of two 18" ported, what would the differance equal? i have now real experiance that would suggest any info, i have often leaned on the additional cone area would increase the pressure......yet, no real world info to back it up, yet :-) glwb and post up pics!

his first enclosure similar approach

i would venture to say yes, as his current enclosure of a similar build approach is very solid! he will undoubtfully have to factor the xcon's ability to tear up stuff into his build design this go around! xcon=xcursion!

looks nice.... finish ideas? no flush mount? have you considered incorporating a 45' in the port area? i love the approach with the viewing window!

i do apologize, i know i have been m.i.a. for a while, due in a large part to a lack of enthusiam, spawned by this huge slump in work volume i have myself hopelessly stuck in. However, it is close to christmas and our continued prayers and determination are carrying us through. The out look is uplifting and my hopes are hi. I am very thankful for all of my brothers and sisters within Team IAK and Team SSA. I want to wish each and everyone one of you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a prosperus new year.

wish i was there! wanted to get an updated demo! got the kids all moved, so proud of that, just sucks i couldnt make it out there!

probably going with a slot port box for her, going to vist/humor the thought of building a downward firing enclosure for her, but if that doesnt go smooth then i have another design done, just waiting to build.... raising a household of 13 people with a single income puts audio at a crawl.... not sure on the cutlass, i'll let winter decide what happens i guess. once spring is back in the air, i am sure i will be anxious to get back on it.... or lottery!

port issue update! - payment of refund is pending in our paypal currently! durango issue update! - djjdnap helped with the needed research to ultimetly find a way to bypass the exspensive ac compressor for the time being with a smaller re-routed serpintine belt. !!!! justin, your awesome bro! household update! samantha and pj are due to move next week...this will help them out as well as us, taking our toal number from 13 to 9!!! job update....... hours are sucking, might have to get a second job soon, but momma chop starts her job the end of this month! house update....pretty dam sure the back of the house is going to fall off soon...this sucks! team iak decal design is being worked on again, fingers crossed! luv ya fam!

yeah, i have a wedding ring tatt with reginas name in it.....her intitial got covered up when i got my hand tattoo..and then i also have it on my leg with her cartoon portrait and on my arm, done by needle, thread, india ink...in back of art class when i was 14! lol the palm tatt did not stay all too well, in fact, it sucks! lol...alligator skin, now i understand the term, due to i do not see alot of alligators with tattoos! i will let him pound the ink in there again, see if it gets deep enough.... j-road do you have a preferred needle to do alligator skin with!??
