update..... gutted from b pillar back..... ready to start molding enclosure...... ordered two cresendo 2k's for the xcons...... got a sd 100.4 on the way for front stage....

thanks for all the birthday wishes......they worked too! I hoped to spend the whole day with the family and that is exactly what i did! started off with breakfast in bed cooked by my youngest one(kryssy)... everyone got up and gave me my gifts.....wich were all very cool! we then rolled up to the childrens mueseum and hung out there for several hours..... picked up the cutlass and cruised to golden corral for dinner..... they said "did you call ahead for your party"? ...... lol, NO!, this is just our household...haha ha , we just roll deep like that! the service was okay, food was ruff, but man, watching everyone laugh and cut up! that was golden..... then watched a few games and told stories of yester-year..... 7am till 1:30am of family fun= ftw!!!! putting the easter eggs and baskets out for the babies so they wake up to thier treats and then off to bed.... thank you again to all of my ssa and iak family! *godsmack...should i read that as you did get the cd then? i sure hope so!

Use Sd, if Sd was not supplied with the T/S parameters, you can use the effective diameter of the cone(in cm). As Sd = pi*(Dia/100)^2/4 The effective diameter is normally the diameter of the cone, plus 1/2 the surround, for wide roll surrounds at least. you sir , are awesome! thank you very much.

in this article on how to determine the minium port area, it ask for the "effective diameter" of the driver being used.... the SSA XCON 18" is actually 18.5" outside diameter....but what is the "effective diameter" per this formula's application? Is there a differance? how does one determine this spec? would sd be the appropriate spec here? Thanks, chop

the paint shop scene is killing several of us.... my cutlass still has some appointments.... bear has been getting his back for two weeks now, only to have additional issues.

jayson, could you pm me the price of the 10" aero style vent openings that you have access to? i would need four total/ two sets..... also, what is your experiance with these? how sturdy are they? acoustically , would you invision like a spray on deadener for the exterior of them? would they have a tin sound quality to them? thanks for any input or experiance with them you might have. that 14" exterior diameter will be fun to incorporate into my wall with two 18"s already hogging up space!

Cannot say for sure, but when I got mine I beleive they said 19mm. From PDF- 19.0mm X‐Max by 70% BL method one‐way (38.0mm peak to peak) thanks for the helpfull info! i will use this to help provide chicago fan some input on his build. (off topic: big fan of you and yours!)
