I am reading about installing my stinger volt meter. Just alittle confused now that a relay is mentioned. Is the relay needed with the Stinger 3 wire volt meter or only necessary with say, a 2 wire meter?

i think it will cause problems. current will flow to path of least resistance, so it will be uneven. you dont want to mix subs like that. im no expert, hopefully someone will explain further for you..

i have alot of learning ahead of me . . . does all of that explain why we should not run amps any lower than the manufacturer's lowest resistance? perhaps people are running amps at lower ohms thinking that "impedance rise" will keep them at a safe resistance without any other worries? and this thread explains why that is not a wise decision. thank you.

I had a cap one time. I felt like it helped. Now I am more educated and choose to upgrade electrical as necessary to avoid using a cap.
