THANK YOU. I have a couple of questions though. 1. This is probably a dumb one, but what's the difference between "2X4 inches (adhesuive both sides)" and "2X4 inches (adhesive one side only)?" Doesn't one side have glue and the other velcro? How are the two different then? 2. Do the MLV and CCF need to be like glued/velroed to the door in order to be effective? Can they "float?" That is all. I didn't click on the thread so answering 1 is tough. Description seems to say it all though... As for two, you want the MLV to be decoupled from the structure as much as possible. Which you could draw the analogy that it is "floating".

You called him your partner Then I'd definitely add a layer of mdf like originally planned. Getting as much "real" box material in there as possible is necessary. Not sure how you planned to port this if it is already in your car and you are limited in depth. I would figure that out before spending another minute installing because this too could cause you to significantly change your enclosure.

Should really do this comparison with a driver that has an EBP that puts it in potentially either style enclosure and then do the comparison. Then not only will you see the efficiency gains of a low tuned enclosure, but perhaps also one that is tuned higher. Again focusing this on music tastes and desires is a good thing. I all too often see people recommend 30Hz tuning for someone who should be much closer to the 40's. Not at all implying that you are stating that, in fact, I like that you said "I personally" Just want to clarify for others reading and give them a task to really help them understand as once you have the variable of two different drivers it can confused the situation. BTW, I like the drivers you picked though

It's a time stalling tactic anyways. I would be extremely surprised if UPS paid a claim. They have pretty stringent requirements for packaging electronics. Unless the package was obviously damaged which would have subsequently damaged the contents, I'd say chances of UPS paying anything are pretty much nil. Although I think it would be hilarious if you got some people at SBN to carry around picket signs near the Skar vehicles. If it wasn't so close to SBN I would have suggested having some shirts made up as well. At this point I bet if you asked for donations and filmed it a lot of people would chip in on those shirts.
