New Little Project for College
No way that thing puts out 70w, if it were rated using normal amplifier specifications my guess is less than 10w.

build log, but different
Sweet, and green is definitely my favorite color for routers. I assume that is the 12? It is a beast.

2 BTL 12 ENCLOSURE
It is definitely easy to make a box that is too big smaller, really hard to do things the other way around.

What has the greatest effect on.....
Perhaps, but almost all musicians do.

And wired >> wireless. Wow.

What has the greatest effect on.....
I don't think that is what was said. My comment was that your ear and an RTA have a really, really different response therefore using an RTA to setup your response is silly. Use what makes sense to develop your own cars transfer function and that is your ear. I have a 1/128th band analyzer at my disposal anytime and a hell of a set of mics, but I don't find them useful for setting up my eq at all. Troubleshooting of course, but not setting things up.

Welcome to the IHoP
I finally have a wired office so my printer is networked and my VOIP phone doesn't have to be forwarded to my cell.

Installed SAZ 1500D...Now Engine Noise???
Yep, fix your grounding problems instead. Are you using the stock ground for your headunit? If so, change it quick.

Looking to upgrade system, need opinions
Tune higher first, wrong tuning for the type of music you like. A box is ALWAYS step number 1.

Design Detail - Silverado Enclosure -Icon 12 Ported
No problems raising the rear seat in those, just goto FSC and get a pre-welded kit from IBThumpin.

I like a flat in ear response, not a flat RTA curve. As for tuning higher and things rolling off above 50hz, even if that were the case who cares? Subs should never play that high anyways, that is midbass territory. To the OP, regrettably with 1.25cuft you don't have enough room for a ported enclosure. Sure you could cut corners and get a 10 to fit in that, but I'd recommend getting a 12 that was meant for the space and enjoying it.

Daily Driver...16 sundown 8's Bandpass IB Clamshell, in a stratus.
You've seen the bridge that fell in MN? Less structural material was missing from it than is now in your car. The amount of FE modelling, modal analysis, and other structural testing on vehicles is enormous. Considering this is what I do professionally I have first hand seen all of the tools that the auto manufacturers currently use. Of course, unlike the hot rod industry the OEM's are trying to make things as light and gas efficient as possible using NO extra support if they don't have to. Cutting out any portion and not overdoing the reinforcement is an idiotic mistake. You really, really, really need to reconsider your methods for insuring your car doesn't buckle in half. To make matters worse you did this to a car that wasn't ever so good in a crash anyways, how do you think it is now?

Mids for front stage paired with peerless hds
That depends a ton on your whole install. I'd usually start with a 200hz gap between the HP of the tweet and the LP of the mid. Tweak it until it sounds the best. I think you understood underlap to be overlap from above. It is almost always a bad idea to crossover both your drivers at exactly the same frequency and having them overlap is even worse. In your case, I'd start with the Excels at 1kHz and the HDS at 2kHz and move them in, with an arbitrary guess that you will end up at 1.1k on the Excel and 1.4-1.5.k on the HDS. It is going to really depend on your mounting locations and whole install though. As for the slopes, they can add but that doesn't mean they will. Personally I would never use two crossovers. You might ask why I say they can but don't usually? They would if they were two exactly identical filters, but even using two of the same device doesn't guarantee that. One other side, if at all possible I am always going to recommend a shallower slope crossover. There is really no need to go to a 24db unless there is something wrong in your install.

Good sub recommendations for SAZ-1500D
Sounds to me like loud is the most important though Jim. The real question is how much space do you actually have??

If any on that list are listenable, the Eagles' GH is probably it. Because let's face it, other than HFO I don't know of many of their albums that work cohesively as an album... I'd go so far as to say the Eagles aren't listenable... Yeeeeah, you're definitely on my shit list now... Ok, I guess your right I didn't have to go far to say that.- Welcome to the IHoP
Probably here then too, just doesn't say so on Deft's website. I have to go there tomorrow anyways.- Welcome to the IHoP

Just realized you said a logitech plate amp. If so, that 200w is really probably 15 Also even if that isn't the case knowing what impedance it runs at is 100% necessary.- Welcome to the IHoP
I assume this one: CorePrime Hybrid Catalyzed Pigmented Primer http://www.deftfinishes.com/professional/p...associated.html but they don't seem to sell it locally?? - Welcome to the IHoP
