Can't say a whole ton, and I won't say the fidelity is the absolute best but for the price point it is pretty incredible. Basically a flat panel that uses out of phase interference to focus music instead of in-phase. The packaging can be pretty much anything, but mostly comes with a piece of drywall attached. You take out a section of your wall and replace it with the drywall speaker. Another packaging is an adhesive front which you peel and stick a painting and then put it in a frame. Going to provide some pretty cool flat wire that is mud-able as well. The guy is nutsy clever. He bought an Iphone two weeks ago and has hacked it to wirelessly transmit music all throughout his including different music and different video to different rooms. He has a lot of other things in the works, but those you will see soon.
  2. stop thinking about rears as well
  3. what h/u do you have? I am not a fan of line drivers as they really aren't necessary.
  4. I live in MN and run mine year round, your friend is well an idiot.

    all alone
  6. They stink at midbass and having midbass in the rear doesn't work anyways. If it is really your goal to have midbass in the rear why don't you buy a sub that can play up to 500hz. Something like the Aura NS12 which can easily do that.
  7. You don't want my recommendations as our listening preferences are on the opposite end of the spectrum. Nothing is going to "keep up" with what you are using for subs, not in a musical sort of way. If by keep up you mean hear the words well you can pretty much use anything just keep turning up the HP. *gags
  8. Lose a lot, your originally plan makes no sense. First off even if it made sense to have multiple drivers playing the same frequency range (which it doesnt') you still wouldn't need as many tweeters as midbasses. Integration and installation is the most important part and it looks to me like you are into quantity over quality which is really too bad.
  9. Obviously you are only talking about subs which hardly are necessary in an SQ install. It comes down to your expectations and goals on your choice not what we think but what you want. Perhaps giving some directoin in that regard would be helpful.
  10. You should use those drivers with an off the shelf crossover, no way no how it will sound terrible. You have to build a custom crossover in particular with drivers with such nasty breakup modes. If you are unwilling to buy measurement equipment your ONLY choice is to build something that someone else has already built and put together your own crossovers.
  11. Maybe, depends on what you want. Could you ask a more subjective question?
  12. Are you sure it bottomed out? Seems really odd to me and I actually doubt it happened. What exactly are you hearing that you don't like?

Interesting night. Spent time at an investor meeting for a new product developed by the guy who was behind a lot of the Pio Elite, the Sonic amps, Tad, did sound for GnR, and a whole bunch of other shit. About to release a tactile driver for turning just about anything into a speaker. His demo was pretty darn interesting in particular considering the sale price. Expect to see something pretty exciting for built in sound in Lowe's come February. Guy is a fricking genius and a lot of fun to have some beers with.

a patty melt by definition has onions
  20. why so many drivers???
  21. Because it is a piece of junk. You'd probably be way happier with a higher tuning frequency as well. A new box is a better idea than new subs.
  22. get rid of the PA and try a different amp
  23. anything playing above 80hz in the rear is pretty much bad, and in all reality lower than that would be even better
