  3. I think there should be a vote in the SSA supporter section maybe... just for us long time members/Team members/people who donate
  4. as much of your posts are not useful.... I'm not gonna lie and I think 8CON is actually kinda of a good idea
  5. Thanks Julian... I'm waiting on a email reply as well to be safe..
  6. PC FTW
  7. So I was going to purchase a Xcon recone but it occured to me to double check compatability. Since I know designs have changed in the last few years with certain subs. I had to go through all my posts/thread topics to find it since I know I didn't order it directly through the store/website since it was special order. Turns out I purchased my Xcon back in 2011. Would the current recone work for my sub?
  8. very awesome photos as usual Eric!
  9. lol... I feel that way sometimes. But then I'm there are times I'm like DAYUM, I took that shot?!?!?!?!?!?!
  10. holy! ;.... dayum!
  11. i just want the last one Dcon in s2.... lol .... Someone sell it!
  12. sad I am... I want a Dcon s2....
  13. Nikon and Canon do have the same features as far as I know but I haven't had any personal experience. With my Sony there is an 'AUTO' mode but I haven't used any lenses that "talk" with the camera electronically so I've had to set it to crop mode. And once I've done this there hasn't been any vignetting at all. (unless I do not turn on the APC-S mode)
  14. No idea whats up... maybe I missed it but. Can't purchase Dcon or Gcon in any configuration...
  15. dayum sexy! I think the white would be more muted for most installs... red can be too much maybe?
  16. i kinda love my Galaxy s7 for this reason... in a pinch it can be nice for some documentation.lol
  17. My experience with the Sigma lenses was pretty great back when Full Frame digital wasn't around. 35mm and 50mm at the time on a Sony a33 and Sony a580. Fast forward and with my Sony a77ii I used a Sigma Art lense 18-35 f/1.8 and it was pretty horrible for the price. Reviews went many different ways but most said their shots were in-focus 90% or more. Could've been the copy I received since some say getting a new one seemed to correct issue but @ $800 mark I wasn't playing around. Gave that lens straight back. Just played with it a few weeks and was like ehhh no, no bueno. I'm going to look around but I definitely feel like I want a sub 20mm lens for my kit possible in zoom format. You can use the Sony crop sensor lenses in "crop-mode" which isn't ideal but if you're using the range I'm looking for I think most photos for my usage will do well.
  18. Goals! for sure I found a very insanely nice 50mm by rokinon that is 1/4.... I noticed a lot of my photos were in the 24-28mm which is why I started out with the 28mm lens Sony offers... but you're correct I need a 50mm ! yes that does cover it really well... AND because of this I will start a photo/camera thread so we can post more info there although I don't know if there will be enough traffic on it I still want to have it separate since I know you fools always posting randomness in here and I don't want to interfere with that.lol P.S. - any way you could move these last few posts to that thread? All Things Photo Talk
  19. As I mentioned, I wanted to created a thread for photography/videography for members to post whatever they want relating to the subject... i.e. lenses, camera bodies, accessories, software and general questions and opinions on the matter. I'll start off with my new edition or new upgrade rather: Sony a7m2
  20. I think this is how I want to teach myself to shoot. I mean I could go extremely expensive and get the Zeiss 24-70 f/2.8 but I don't see the need yet. Maybe when I have $2200 to spare... lol
  21. I know I know... I learned that lesson with that camera setup but I usually only have that lens on for day shooting... zoo, aquarium, day-hike, so I didn't need to have much else besides a telephoto with me. I want to accomplish similar but I don't mind having to carrying one or 2 extra lenses since the size/weight reduction with the mirrorless camera. For now I just need to get more creative and learn the functions within this camera and setup the shortcuts to make my everyday shooting a bit more convenient than digging around the menu.
  22. I know what you're saying there as far as compromise with a "walk-around" lens.. I think I want to force myself to get used to using the primes as I know how amazing quality can be especially now that I am on a full frame camera finally. Currently with the camera I picked up a 28mm f/2 which Sony sells an add-on that allows me to go either 16mm or 21mm obviously 21mm isn't a huge difference so I ordered the 16mm adapter. Julian on my a77ii I was using the Zeiss 16-80 almost daily which had me spoiled for range but wasn't fast enough in all situations. On full frame lenses just are more expensive which I knew going in but I'll have to learn the camera with the 28mm for now. And maybe get a nice 14mm or go longer and get something in the 70-90mm range for insane sharpness when needed.
