help with 80prs auto-eq
I've tried it a couple times with ok results. One time it had the t/a on one of the tweeters so far out it should have been outside the vehicle.

Old vs new xcon
Dang, mine has been recently reconed, but that still sounds like too much of a difference to me. The Dss bandwagon may be picking up another here soon. The xcon may be going sealed in a MB CLS...

Old vs new xcon
So, I have been having fun with my xcon and am looking to get louder. I was planning on getting a second one with the black friday sale. I asked this question at the beginning of the post, but it kinda went in another direction. Could my v1 motor xcon with pole vent be run in the same box a a new v2 motor no vent xcon. I am kinda ocd about stuff like this and I will always be wondering if I am missing something or if something isn't quite right. I remember reading about something similar a while ago, but can't seem to find it. The preorder and free shipping on dss ethos right now is super tempting while I wonder if old and new xcons can work together without any adverse effects.

Cheese and plucking rice! What are you doing on such a system?

I stumbled across these while trying to clean photos out of my phone. This is when I was running dual 64GB Samsung 830 SSD in a RAID0 for my OS. Otherwise, the setup is the same as described above.

Ah, very true. There is definitely more info needed here on either account. There isn't much for people to go off of and giving blind recommendations are not what this site is about.

According to an earlier post, looks to be around $400 to $520 for drivers. That can get you pretty far if you are only working on the front stage, how much so is above my head though.

Horns and 8s are probably where I'm going next, would be interested to see how it turned out if antoine did it before me considering we have the same vehicles. What type of 8" mid bass you going with...Rockford pro audio, crescendo pro audio, etc etc... I haven't got that far yet. I'm working on electrical for now. I'm content with my front stage for now so I haven't been worried about it.

Here is a couple shots of my Eyefinity setup I used to have. I forgot to list the Razer Nostromo in there and optical drives are what they are anymore. The Logitech Z906 is pretty badass too. I don't have any tower gut shots, but can get

Ok, I'll play... CPU: AMD FX-4100 GPU: 2x XFX HD6970 MOBO: ASUS Crosshair V Formula RAM: 4x2GB OCZ Black Edition 1600mhz HDD: WD Caviar Green 500GB (storage) SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (runs OS and apps) PSU: Seasonic X750 Case: Azza Solano 1000 Blue (big arse tower!) Mouse: Razer Copperhead Keyboard: Razer Lycosa OS: Windows 7 64-bit Dell 30" 2560x1600 ftmfw I use it for everything as well. Gaming, Netflix, e-mail, web surfing, etc. My ipad mini shares the e-mail and surfing load for sure. For gaming, I love the Crysis series and BF3 was fun; Diablo 3 and Portal 2 are my current players. Every once in a while I take it back with some good ole Generals (command & conquer). My recent acquisition of the 30" monitor was definitely the cherry on top. I can have two full windows open at once. Run through iTunes and surf the web at the same time. I just moved from a triple 23" setup and found myself hardly ever turning on all 3 monitors. Couldn't be happier with the switch!

Eric stevens is a popular choice. There was a set of image dynamics horns on eBay a couple days ago.

Keep in mind, those seas are just raw drivers. No tweeter or crossover. The P900.4 can do an active setup, but it will be much more difficult to tune compared to a digital processor of some kind. I was just referencing my system as I am happy with just a set of mids and tweeters right now. You might hate what I have, who knows for sure?

I wouldn't even think about the c-pillar speakers. Wouldn't be any use at all, IMO. You will probably get a lot of mixed reviews about how you are looking at going about this. In my tahoe I am only working on the front end. I have no rear door or c-pillar speakers running. It sounds awesome to me so far and gets decently loud for what it is. If you want some real help in choosing some components without making a disaster in your build log, make a separate thread with as much detail as you can give. Past systems and/or listening experiences. What you have found that you do or don't like. I got tons of help from members on here and am very happy with the results so far.

Nice, the Singer 270 is my choice as well once I get around to that part of the spending.

More power for mids?
If I decided to get crazy(my standards) I'd do the horns under dash, ?" mid in the kick, 8" mid bass in the door. I can't imagine I'd want more than that. It would certainly keep my busy, that's for sure.
