  1. the BL is only recommended for ported boxes.
  2. That install looks great.
  3. Dude just check out your local car audio dealer and ask to hear some sets of components.

I had the older BTL 18 on an AQ 2200d in my trunk and it caused my passengers displeasure. It sounded great though IMO, sounded way cleaner then my friends 2 memphis 10's pr's. But this really doesn't help you that much.
  5. jumping on a forum and puttin your nose in someone elses business isnt good either Lol its a public forum its no longer your business when you post it on the net. Thats why we have private messages (PM).
  6. 2000 Crown Vic Police interceptor Alpine IDA x 205 stock mids and highs (looking at CCX 6.5s) 18 BTL with PSI recone in 7.6 cubes at 34hz Aq 2200d (fried like egg) Stock 135 amp alt big 3 all 1/0 wire throughout. Since the amp is blown ive taken it out along with sub and box. Im gonna seal and deaden the trunk get a new amp or fix my AQ, the im gonna get a batt for the rear. Im also looking at the crescendo componets, I need a higher pre amp voltage to.
  7. What size is your stock alt? Are you gonna do the big 3?
  8. A custom built ported box usually runs 200-400 IIRC. Your best bet is to pay somebody a tenth of that for a design then conning someone into helping you put it together. Also homedepot will make your cuts for you so all that leaves is assembly. Also a sheet of MDF is around 30
  9. 7 cubes gross? You could maybe fit 2 15's or an 18. A 15" BTL would work but like stated above crap info=crap answer.
  10. I think what they are saying is that in a true "sq" setup the sub is really the least important part and the last step usually as it plays the smallest frequency range.
  11. Its almost impossible to tell. Its all so install dependent.
  12. I listen to a wide variety of music on my 18 BTL and have yet to notice any "slowness" or "looseness" Like said above its all install dependent.
  13. You just gotta find music with bass close to your box freq. and your cars Res. Freq. The more you listen to it the more youll figure out what songs get loud in your car and which ones don't.
  14. Im in the same boat as you looking for some componets in the $100 range. You cant expect people to tell you what you like though what are your goals? woofersect.com has some CDT classics for $110+shipping
  15. That sounds just like my local shop. Sexy subs

    What kind of vehicle?
  17. They repealed the ban this year I guess because now theres like 5 stands in city limits, before you had to drive like 5 minutes to the county to get fireworks. There legal under Mississippi state law as far as i know.
  18. I would think the ported BTL would be louder if thats what you mean by move air.
  19. Thats correct. Any amp that does the RMS power at 2 ohms will work fine for your application.
  20. Panda or not thats loud as shit! Great numbers Also those sundowns are beastly.
  21. Iv'e never heard the Dcon yea but I used to have a 15" 187 and it was a great sub it got loud for 300 watts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it though. But I have yet to hear anything negative about the Dcon either so I would just get the 187 because its cheaper if I remember correct.
  22. Just get the AQ2200d. I have one on an 18" BTL and I like it alot. It doesn't get hot running at one ohm daily and Im able to run it on almost stock electrical.
  23. I wish this was closer to me. Thats a great oppurtunity.
  24. Theres a Memphis mojo 4kw on my local CL for 500.
