  1. Good to here. Always nice to see people having good buying/ selling experiences
  2. I would be tempted to trade you a Fi BL 12 dual 2 ohm, if you just dislike Mtx that bad. And welcome, dude
  3. I would love to see some sundown tweets for a future active build. As I posted on ssa manufacture section, it would be cool for an all one quality company set up; whether it be sundown, SSA or Fi. All amazing companies that would be slick to get a one stop shop thing going with
  4. I would love to see you guys be into everything one day. It would be awesome to do an all ssa set up: amps, subs, components, the whole shebang
  5. Couldn't part with. It's about half loaded with stuff and my jvc only reads older ones as well
  6. Really? I thought it was maybe some kind of heat damage. This thing has spent most of its life in a glovebox in south Louisiana. About 2 years ago I got a gray blob on the screen and assumed it was dead pixels.
  7. Hey guys. I have a 30 gig iPod video that I have had since 2006. I use it in the car to store music and inside my house with my surround sound. The display has went out on it, but it functions fine with anything that doesn't need the iPod screen for functioning, such as my head unit. . The backlight still works, but it's just a blue and gray blank screen. All buttons still work. I have seen the displays on eBay for as low as six bucks, and simple looking tutorials on YouTube on how to replace it. My question is, has anyone on here ever actually replaced one? If so, can the average Joe Blow with basic electronic/ car audio skills do it without frying the hard drive or worse?
  8. My volt meter was broke. I went to see a friend today who had a working one and that's when I figured it out.
  9. Drew is correct. I tried running a wire directly from the batt to the remote on the sundown. It flashed protect for a millisecond and then lit up bright blue. Now I just gotta get back out there in a bit and find/reconnect a more stable remote. Btw remote was reading 0.04 when I checked it at first
  10. Update. Cleaned corrosion. Just charged up the rear batt some. Both are resting at 12.9. Checked fuses on both amps, all good. Still no sound or power though. Remote would be my next guess. The last person to drive my car before I found the problem said the radio was cutting in and out and just lost sound. We had a lot of drama around our house the last few days, so it lost power on Saturday and I didn't discover it till late that night.
  11. So is acetominephen. Try again Pete. Acetaminophen is correct. As a pharm tech, I approve this message. Vicodin is just another brand name for Lortab 5: hydrocodone/APAP 5/500. Percocet and other oxycodone narcotics are the "good stuff". That's why they are schedule 2 where as Vicodin is schedule 3
  12. hanging out at my house with my kid. If you got something to trade for it, the optima is yours. As long as my amps get the power they need, I could care less what brand is doing the power. edit: * its always good to have a local friend on the forum with a battery charger and tools who is willing to help troubleshoot
  13. I haven't checked the fuses, just would be a guess of why no power. I am going to check the fuses and my voltage at both batteries tomorrow. After I get my taxes, I think I'm replacing both batts with better ones
  14. The optima was one I bought third hand from dvalue and the starting batt is from Walmart back in 08
  15. If its drained that far, could it be charged back up, or is it a lost cause.
  16. I'm gonna try that out. My wife cringed when I said I may need a new good battery
  17. No I believe it is not. It is a Walmart ever start Maxx 35s
  18. I did not yet, but nothing has been touched in a long while. Haven't pulled the radio out or moves things or even popped the trunk for that matter
  19. I was driving my car today and realized I had know sound. I glanced down at my ashtray to find the power light for my saz's bass knob off as well. This would mean both amps have no power. Without the ability to really investigate, I found both power and grounds connected still and my single run of 1/0 positive connected starting battery to optima in the rear connected and not damaged. The ground for that battery seamed fine as well. When I popped the hood, I noticed a lot of crusty corrosion on the starting battery. The car starts fine and the head unit comes up and functions fine, just no sound. I didn't get a chance to check to check fuses, but it seems strange for fuses on both amps to pop at the same time. Could the corrosion be the reason?
  20. Did anybody say zcon???haha. That is one beefy 12
  21. I didn't necessarily say I did. It is an idea to throw around for the next car. Like I said earlier, it may be 2 years before I get anything new, so budget and equipment are way off. I just like to be informed
