im only running it @ 1ohm

breaking in my brand new RE SX i got through a trade deal dvc 2ohm per coil

soooooooo 1ohm @ amp breaking in the amp as well

going to print SnakSkin for the bigg Boy this afternoon

i can tell by the smell that the RE SX has been digging in it tail...

the SAZ is more power than the RE can take ! i hope its just the excess glue burnning off but i have a bad feeling im gonna Cook this puppy

Don't feel bad -- we SHREDDED an MT 18 last night demoing the truck.

Blew the whole center of the cone out and ripped the triple joint apart, the coil was sitting against the back plate -- I did manage to pull it out though!

Yeh brian the SX isn't meant to stand a saz3000. My SX15 was pushed to its limit on my IA20.1 -- the IA put that SX through the ringer. SX is a 1000 - 1500 RMS speaker.

i know the RE SX has limits but im in a 7cf @36Hz for daily

and i have the gain down but the SAZ 3000 is still a freeking Beast !

and im plotting on a 2nd SAZ3000 Strapped

if the RE cant take it ill recone it with something a lil more Beefy...

mabe you need to make a small ass box for that SX should allow it to take the power a bit better

if he is smelling the coils then he has obviously already reached the coils thermal limits. putting it in a smaller box wont help anything but the mechanical side.
