Posted December 3, 200420 yr I've had several of these drivers in several sizes and haved loved them all (only cuz I got them cheap ), but I have an opportunity to snag 3 of the 12W6s for virtually no money. Does anyone here still consider these to be worth any value? I have no real use for them yet, so it would be nothing more than a quick turn-around investment. With all the new drivers out there though, I'm wondering if it's even worthwhile. The 3 I'm getting are of the first gen, but they are all unused and still boxed. I'm getting them from dealer who had them in the back of his warehouse for years and never knew they were there. He did some housecleaning last week, and guess what appeared. Opinions?
December 3, 200420 yr I'd imagine you'd be able to make some sort of profit on them.I enjoyed those drivers ... quite nice. Small box and low power requirements are appealing it seems. - Steve
December 3, 200420 yr I would get them. They are one of the best all time SQ subs that can get pretty loud.
December 4, 200420 yr Yes they are nice, I had a couple of Hifonics SQ which were actually based off of the W6 design. I was still able to sell em even though for pretty cheap.
December 4, 200420 yr He made $400 from buying and selling these - Steve<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Wow, thats crazy to say the least.
December 4, 200420 yr Author That was my only reason for buying them. I honestly wasn't sure if they were worth $500 or not, but I just got them that morning and had an offer for $500 an hour later. So they had to go. I had no intentions of keeping them or using them anyways. It was all going to be for pure profit. Made a killing too! Went out and spent some of it today on Christmas presents. Also reserved GT4 for the PS2.
