J, I say take it!!!

I just got a job offer also, 4 days into my current job. It would be back doing almost the same thing I was doing for the research lab, with a 1 mile commute!!

1 mile sounds good to me - similar benefits and such?

Job offers all over this board lately - I just got a nice one for May through the end of August. It isn't an offer anymore, though ... because I took it.

Well I just left Scandia (Naval Contractor) for this job. Took a pay cut (about 8.5k), 1/2 the commute (not far from amanda), great benifits, better boss, much better atmosphere. own office etc. This new job offer is at an Army contractor, off base right next to my home almost, great benifits, equal to if not better money than what I was making at the Naval Contractor, doing back what I was doing at the research lab. I worry because the current job fought pretty hard to bring me in, and they have really put a lot of responsibilty on my shoulders along with heading up upgrading and improving development and CAD software. I would hate to bolt on two different jobs back to back for a 3rd after many streaches in the past have a great deal of trouble finding just one, and even the ones I found were way below my skill set or schooling.

Don't worry about the company you're at now. Trust me, no matter how hard you work for them, they will NEVER hesitate to fire you if the need arises. And they won't feel bad about it either. Take the new job if you want to and don't worry about backing out on others. It's just the way it goes.

I'd agree, but I'd do it on good terms. Tell them your intentions, but be sure to be flexible and helpful in the leaving process. It shouldn't be too hard for them to understand considering the difference in offers.

Well, I took an 8k pay cut to come here, but I could get a 11k pay boost for the new position. Waiting to hear back about an interview.

That 11k it seems like sure would come in handy for Amanda's new car and paying off the sled.

This is true, we are going to look at a E320 4 matic tomorrow. Nice solid safe and powerful tank.

My stomach just growled with an up shift.

Finally might have a lock on some Olympic issue weightlifting shoes. 'Bout time, I've been calling people forever.

Adidas doesn't exactly make their shoe accessible to those who aren't Olympic athletes.

Make some friends... :fing34:

I don't even know any weight lifters out at the USOTC so I can't help you with that, I know about all the shooting folk, but no lifters.

Pictures of said shoes?

I really hate shopping.

It involves navigating hordes of people, and that's something I loathe.

But it needs to be done.
