I hear you. I have to deal with harman/kardon's in my laptop and a Yamaha set on my home PC for a few months here.

I have enough drivers at home to make a few sets of stellar speaks, but am reduced to the definitives I bought 12 years ago. Once I get a wood shop that will change quickly though.

True, the speakers are sitting on my kitchen table, just nothing to put them in. And with 2mm of Xmax and a 0.2 Qts, they don't do squat in open baffle.
