Finished I see no reason why hardwood would be more vunerable to moisture to ply in a household environment. But I do see what you mean on audiogon though.

But I'm going to build stuff anyways, I need something to build beyond a typical ply box, standard stuff is boring, no challange.

Speaking of cables, I was looking around on partsexpress for some RCA ends, I found some I liked untill I checked the price. 20-30$ is way to much for a fricking RCA cable end.

I like the idea of more exposure and have some serious projects for the section, but currently have no woodshop or even a garage I can use. Trying to keep the house clean for selling is a beyotch.

This summer I'll have projects to contribute to the home audio section.

WBT Topline ends are $50 each. Eichmanns are close to that.

No thank you.

Really makes Knukonceptz affordable, considering the quality of their ends :)

On the other end, PG ARx series cables have probably the worst ends I've ever seen...tiny crimped joints, barely any solder, pitiful strain reliefs.

After I move I feel a DCX2496 and a TVC coming my way as well...as long as I don't go broke first. Will be a big empty the closet blow out at that point as well.

Unless we find something better, I want a passive setup for my office. I would already have it, but the 6 week delivery would kill me. I needed tunes for the house, so my temporary solution was the Elite receiver which will become my home theatre receiver after I move. Basically bought it as a Dolby/THX decoder as it has good DAC's and can use off board amps. Will also be fine as a stand alone.
