Cramming is completely opposite of the real world, where you have to reference documents & know how to quickly & accurately. That is one of the most important skills you need!

Some off the top knowledge is essential, but nobody can retain everything.

So many problems with just trying to memorize something for one event, when you know damn well there will be no retention of the information.
