Well I was born in a vw.

Beat that!

:P

I don't think I can beat it, but I was brought home from the hospital in a '74 bug. Parents had multiple bugs before and after that day also. :)

There is a die-hard air-cooled VW gear head who is part of the mod staff, but I will not say who. ;)

Another reason why American car companies are behind. Worth the few minutes to watch it.

Now I know why the Phaetons cost so damned much...

so I got to drive my friend's '96 and '00 Firehawks (both 6 speeds), now those are damn fun cars :D

Any pix?

The 2000 looks pretty mean, dig the black on black.

Both my dad and my mom (at the time, pregnant with me) were in the front seat when they hit a deer in their Wagoneer up in Washington state going a pretty good speed...one of several possible explanations of why I turned out the way I did...

I've got a set of 5 spoke Empi's, a 72 dual port 1600, some seats, steering wheel, light buckets and all sorts of other Wolfsburg air cooled goodies at my house; although I doubt Aaron is referring to me.

There was an 8 cylinder one for sale the other day, but I did not see the price as I was in a rush to get to my game.

Not used ones, thought about myself a few times.

Almost like getting an S or 7 for 1/2 the price. :)

Nope, but you should unload that stuff to get the TwinTurbo. ;)

Just put a new intake plenum on my car. It seems slower, but I haven't driven it in a while and I didn't reset the computer either. I hope my tune is rich enough to account for the increase in air.

Last night my buddy came over as I was just getting ready to pull it off. He wanted to hear it, so I put it back together and started it up. Let it warm up, then I grabbed the throttle and pulled back and when I got back far enough POOF, the intake pipe blew off and smacked my arm which then proceeded to smack my face. Guess I didn't have the clamps tight enough. It ran for about 10 second and the magical black smoke came out and it stalled. Good thing it wasn't a fuel line or I'd be getting that new shortblock a little early.

Hot damn!

Do you think it did anything permanent?

new kick ass Shop-Vac ftmfw

4 ft. level for size reference...

6HP, 16 gallon, 2.5" diameter hose...powerful enough to suck up a small child....

We've got the same one at the shop, we also have the older model of that. The old one has had the crap beat out of it, tons of concrete dust sucked through it, gallons upon gallons of water sucked up with it and it runs like a champ.
