Got both kick panels glassed, far from perfect, but some sanding and a little body filler and they should turn out okay :P

Never have I been so pissed off trying to do something, I swear if a neighbor would have walked by and said "Hi", I probably would have chased them down the block :puzzled:

Time to get more supplies to fuel the rage, and get lunch, err breakfast too...

Don't know about: "New Glarus Dancing Man Wheat" ?? Sounds a bit gay to me...

So the idea is Toyota looks the other way while Ford copies their design if Ford does the same for them?

Sounds like, "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"

Duran has it here. They all often make "deals" with one another.

At one time, GM, Chrysler, Ford, and Toyota had a joint venture on a "surfboard" car. This is basically a standard chassis that can accept multiple bodies and can be changed at anytime. Chrysler was doing the design, GM was providing the transmission while working on the chassis and driveline with Ford, Toyota supplied the engine, and Ford was in charge of the software.

Got the floorboard / kick panel area fiberglassed for a base, should be dry in 45 minutes then I can start smoothing it out.

Has anyone else seen kickpanels/pods done with fabric coated in resin and body filler, but no fiberglass mat?

I've done it before, just make sure you use a heavy fabric and it it fully saturated. You'll also want to use a fiber-reinforced filler like Dura-glass or Kitty hair.

Interesting. Curious what the "surfboard" car was.
