Anybody looking for a flashlight?

We are looking at these for the haunt.

I am a flashaholic..... What do you want to use the lights for and how much do you want to spend?

I will point you in the direction of a better option, unless you want it for frying eggs specifically.

Thanks Matt, we use head lamps. I was hoping somebody would ask why in a Haunted house why you would need such a flashlight?

What is a good led flashlight lets say under $75?

All depends on what you want to be doing with the light. Just as a general purpose flashlight?

Pretty much general use.

I carry a JetBeam Jet-1 Pro, its a single AA Cree LED light, it works great for a carry around light, love it. I also use a SureFire 6p, its an incandescent light though and takes the CR123a batteries. I've had good luck with anything by SureFire, iNova, Fenix, and JetBeam.

For the most part, generally regard anything with multiple LED's as gimmicky and not worth the time.

I like all the brans Ryan mentioned. I am not a fan of sure fire, and in truth mainly because of the cost not being equal to the product IMHO. I don't care about incan lights however so I'm biased in that regard. LED, HID, or GTFO for in hand lights.

I like 4sevens quite a bit. I purchased a bunch for family.

The interface is great for me. You can get really custom settings, and then when you just simply need it to work it has the ability to turn on and off with ease. In the turbo mode it's much brighter than the big mag lights and better even more throw, and overal light than the big 8 c(maybeD) cell spotlight.

They have much less expencive options too, but I wanted the interface and a little sunbeam in my hand.

Fenix and jet beam are well respected and loved too.

Also the 4sevens came with a nice kit with a holster and some rubber grip rings. Most of the companies probably do, but I only have experience with 4sevens. Sometime down the road I'm going to get a big ~2000+ lumen monster.

Stefan, do you use WileyPlus for math homework?

Yep.

A note on the "tactical program UI" for the quark turbo that I love is that I set one of the positions to the suber bright turbo mode, and the other to what I might need specific to a task. 99% of the time that's the lowest, or next to the lowest setting. Then when I don't want to loose my night vision I can get just enough light to get around in the dark. If I need to spot the dog I can snap it up to turbo and cover the yeard in seconds.

The beacon or strobe settings are really nice when camping. You can set it up at your tent and then when you walk away to take a deuce it's easy to find home base.

:)

And in a haunted house, I'm sure you can come up with reasons to have a strobe in your hand.

as cool as it is, why the fuck would you ever spend $150 for a flashlight?

Clearly the wealthy back packer that does not have space for a little gas burner. ;)

That was surprising, wonder who is going to replace him and what song they are going to have to hurry up and write.

Not quite a Nightshade, nor an NS, but either way on sale right now.

That is a nice price.

We have strobes all through it. My favorite strobes are the 750 watt ones, they make you feel like your skin is moving!

Thanks for the flashlight options.

Oh man, Monday.

Err I actually thought today was Monday... Wow.
