Headed to the vets office in a bit. Jack will hang out there, the orthopedic surgeon will meet him and feel his leg etc and then advise on what to do.

The GP said Jack has a little arthritis in the other knee too..... not bad but it just sucks.

The wife stayed home today. Normally I am the rock, but I think I am all tapped out and seeing my buddy hurt just sent me over. Glad I have a good wife.

I have been thinking about moving to a tablet as my HU in my car for a while now and using two 2x4 minidsp as the processing for a 2 way active setup. I know that this has been talked a lot about in here, so I figured I could possibly get a question or two answered here. They just released a nanodigi 2x8k and I was wondering if that could be used as a stand alone unit like the minidsp can or would the best way to set this up still be by using two 2x4 minidsp? All I am really looking for is to replace my pioneer 880, so the only features I really need are a high/low pass filter, time alignment, and a little EQ capabilities.

The miniDSP's stack and two of them take about the space of a deck of playing cards.

Shit in a can scares me.

Exceptions being tomatoes which I realize it is mostly.

I still have my shitty food cravings. Manwich is one of them, it is..... packed with synthetic umammi.

Taco Bell. Certain ultra processed chips like frito twisty flavor things. And diet soda.

The diet soda I consume too much of but the rest is negligible.

It's just one of those 'it's better than fast food every day' type things.

I am trying to wean myself out of pre packaged and drive thru foods.

Fast food is akin to canned and frozen food. Some exceptions of course. For instance we always have frozen peas in the house and canned chicken stock for emergencies.

Canned chicken stock!

Lazy. Don't you just roast a few chickens every time you need stock so it is fresh?

;-)

Fast food is frozen food, for the most part.

Didn't you read emergencies? And of course by canned in this instance I mean in those carton thingee's.

But no, I don't roast chickens for stock. I roast chickens to eat and make stock later.

There is beef, lamb, chicken, turkey and ham stock in my freezer atm.

Buncha slaughtered animals in the backyard.

You know I am giving you shit.

I have not got the hang of beef stock. My chicken stock, though often greenish hued from the herbs, is beyond reproach. Heck I like the stock more than the chicken itself most of the time :-D

Beef I just cannot get beefy enough.

New work out cycle is hitting back hard.

Matt I hope all goes well for Jack.

Well, we shall see.... surgery is expensive but we will get him better.

I'm so stressed I just started crying last night while hanging out on his pillows and then he strated licking me trying to make me feel better.

:-D

Not that anything is fair, but this dog only has love. He should have gone his whole life without pain

That breed is very loving and their goal is to please their master. Sounds like the master has great love for Jack. :)

Best of luck.

Ha, yeah, he is my best buddy in most ways. He definitely has a much stronger sense of relationships than any dog I have ever met. He gives as much as he gets. A lot more in some ways, but the give and take is much more human than I have ever met with a dog before.

He is simple in truth. But so much like a little child I the style he shows affection it is freaky.

The techs at the vet office all come out for him, and I think the one lady had it right when she said he is a celebrity. When he worked security with me it was the same. He just has a way of making you care for him.

:-D

I haven't looked at all the kits, but I know you could use the minidsp boxed version 2x4 for 2-way active, and filter the sub on the monoblock amp. Not sure what the output voltage is on the tablet, but RevA is for up to 0.9Vrms while RevB is for up to 2Vrms input level. Though I'm pretty sure you can open the box, and flip a switch for the either input level.

good lord I think my arms are going to fall off...must have done something right...

I have an extra line driver that could play the role. I can get the 360.3 for a good price so I could go that route.

I'm extremely happy with the minidsp fwiw. No complaints.

No torn tendon says the orthopedic surgeon. Maybe a break but they can't find it without an xray. Strict rest and if he is still hurting in 5 days then back in for xray to look for a small not obvious break.

does he still try to walk around, or stays put?

what did your entire setup cost you for processing?

Minidsp 2x4 + minidsp remote turn on chip + plugin filter. Iirc around 150, you can look up the cost on site. I'm using it for two way and using sub amp for sub filtering.
