Well it's the French's fault, they shouldn't have spelled it so dumbly in the first place.

We are supposed to get some nasty weather here this week, looking like a blizzard on Christmas. Now the question is do I try to go home tonight to make sure I can make it home for Christmas, or spend it here in town w/ the woman and go home on Sunday when the roads are going to be good again? I'd like to be home for Christmas, but I'd also like to be with Ashley, and I can't have my cake and eat it too since she works on Christmas evening.

Now they're saying 5-8" of snow here tomorrow night but only like 1" in Hays, where I'm going. I decided to just take off work tomorrow and leave in the morning so that I get out of here before it starts snowing. Originally (a couple days ago), they said maybe 1-3" for Lawrence but up to a foot in Hays. That got me worried for the drive home since there was also supposed to be 35 mph winds, giving white out conditions. But now they've pretty much completely reversed the locations for the snow. Wind is still supposed to be there though. If you're going anywhere east of Salina I bet roads won't be good again until Saturday. But west of there you may be ok any day.

does anyone else feel like pandora reduced their bitrate or quality lately? At least for the free version?

Hmm, doesn't seem like it on the Squeezebox, but I haven't listened to just web Pandora in a while. And no I don't pay shit monthly.

I haven't noticed a decrease in sound quality. But the increase in ads on the free version sucks. Every 6-8 songs there's an ad, and any time you switch stations an ad plays first.

Freezing rain here boys. Seriously don't know how I survive in this weather. Just another thing to piss me off.

Had a couple nice gestures thrown my way today.

While walking into the bar for lunch, we noticed some managers from one of the stores I work at. We spoke with them for a minute, then sat down and ate. Got ready to pay and the waiter told us the tab had been paid. That was nice.

Walk into Subway tonight and order my food. While it's "toasting," a lady walks in looking tired as all hell. I insist she goes in front of me, but she refuses. So I told the girl to make both our sandwiches at the same time. She does. Goes to ring me up and again I insist the lady go ahead of me. She thanks me and then proceeds to pay for my sub. Now mind you, I got a footlong steak with double meat and bacon. It comes out to be over $15. She doesn't budge and I insist on paying for my own stuff, but she does, tells me, "merry christmas," and walks out the door. So now, here I am left astonished twice today with nothing to do. I want to return the favor, but there's nobody else in the store and I'm going straight home, so I get my wallet and break out a $20 and hand it to the girl working there. That still leaves me down one good deed. Maybe I won't stick it in the bitch's ass tonight.
